THEATER GROUP PERFORMANCE SCRIPT

SCENE 1

Alita: (wakes up) What a wonderful day it is! I can still see the sun shine brighter even with my swollen
eye.

(Extras walking)

Alita: Good morning, Lilia! Good morning, Jena!

(Lilia and Jena ignores her)

Alita: Good morning, May!

(May ignores her)

Alita: The town is still the same, dirty, stinky and the people are hideous. I hope they all disappear.

(Two extras talking)

Girl 1: I heard Madam Darssiel will come to visit

Girl 2: Here? In this town? Isn't she that famous playwright who always had her tickets sold out?

She's a big shot! I wonder what brings her here.

Girl 1: I heard She was looking for a piece of land.

(Alita chimes in)

Alita: Really? The "Madam Darssiel" coming to visit this shabby town? How come a woman like her
decided to step on this filthy ground and soil her shoe that costs an arm and leg to touch the mud of
peasants?

(The extras ignore her and whisper among themselves and walk away)

Alita: Well, isn't this a wonderful day indeed? (Chuckles)

(Madam Darssiel walks in with her two attendants, one carrying an umbrella)

Madam: Urgh! Curse this stupid town! (Struggling to walk)

Attendant 1: It smells rancid.

Attendant 2: Is that a soil of a pig?

Attendant 1: Madam, you are starting to smell like a pig—

Madam: AHHH! (Glares at the two)

Alita: A pleasant morning, Madam Darssiel! Welcome to our town! It might be a little unpleasant for a
lady with class like you, but we are honored to have you grace us with your presence. The lady who is
famous for her outstanding plays, no other can compete. I am a fan of your works. (Bows)

Madam: Such a flatterer. What's your name, girl?

Alita: Oh, where are my manners? My name is Alita, my lady.

Madam: Alita, wonderful name for a...(looks at her from head to toe) shabby girl like you.

Alita: (chuckles) I hear that a lot! I hope you don't mind, may I have your autograph, my lady? It is such a
dream come true to meet you in person. Your character Dahlia? She's my favorite! She is so strong, so
brave— she is not afraid to voice out her thoughts!...You inspire me, Madam Darssiel... (gives her pen
and paper)

Madam: (Signs her paper) You like Dahlia, hm? That's rare. People hate her because she's a villainess.
(Gives her the paper)I must be on my way. It was (short pause) nice to meet you, Alita.

(Walks away with her attendants)

Alita: It was a pleasure to meet you, my lady. (Bows then smiles slowly, showing the thing she stole from
Madam Darssiel) WONDERFUL DAY INDEED! This can feed me for a whole year!

(Curtains close)

SCENE 2

Alita: (Admiring the amount of money she got.)

Mother: ALITA!

Alita: (Hides the money.)

Mother: ALITA! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? GIVE ME SOME MONEY!

Alita: I don't have— (She was cut off when her mother started hitting her)

Mother: What were you doing then, huh? You went out for nothing? Are you going to starve me to
death? Is that how you're supposed to treat your mother? (hitting Alita)

Alita: (she was silent the whole time because she's used to it)
Mother: (she pushed Alita to the ground, she picked the money) So you have got something and you
tried to hide it from me? (slaps Alita)YOU UNGRATEFUL CHILD! Don't you ever think I'd forgive you for
killing my mother! (She grabbed Alita's hair and pushed her. She then walked away)

Alita: (gets up) Curse this life! Someday, I will leave this shabby place and make my own name in the
city. People will see me and practically throw money at me! (she laughed)

(passersby giving her dirty looks)

Victim: There! There! That's her! She's the one who gave me this rip-off bag! She's a con artist, I tell you!

(The police arrests Alita)

Alita: What? No! It's not me! You've got the wrong person. I have a twin! I have a twin! It must have
been her deceiving you!

(She was being dragged away by the police)

(Draw the curtains)

SCENE 3

Alita was thrown inside the prison

Alita: NO! (She held on to the bars) YOU’VE GOT THE WRONG PERSON!

the police left

Alita: LET ME OUT! she shouted

a moment of silence

Alita: Right...it's me...I conned them… but it's not my fault that they were just too easy to fool. They
wanna be seen...just like me...they wanna be seen that's why they are desperate to have those bags.
Hah! Too ambitious. Too naïve! That's why they were deceived.

(Singggggg)

the police came in

Police: You're out they released Alita

Alita: What? Really? Thank you gentlemen!

Police: You should thank Madam Darssiel

Madam: We meet again Carlotta.

Alita: It's Alita, madam. You truly are an angel sent from heaven. I will do anything you ask as my
payment for your generosity.

Madam: You will do anything, you say? That's a tempting offer, Carlotta.

Alita: Alita

Madam: Whatever your name is, I saw potential in you. A great actress who can sway people's hearts.
Come with me and I shall make you a star.

(Draw the curtains)

SCENE 4

Madam Darssiel: Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the prettiest flower in the city who can sway
the hearts of many. TALIA!

Alita: sings nahuman nag kanta dayun ninaog sya sa platform para ientertain ang fans

Adeth: I cannot stand her

Laura: Me too. She's too arrogant.

Adeth: That's because she's Madam's favorite. Laura, have you ever found her suspicious? I mean, she
has no background, it's like she came out of nowhere!

Laura: Now that you mentioned it, it is indeed suspicious.

(Humana si Alita ug entertain dayun niadto sya nilang Laura)

Alita: Move out of the way *pushed them aside

(Adeth and Laura rolled their eyes at her)

Laura: we have to do something to kick her out

(Draw the curtains)

SCENE 5

Laura: Are you sure this is the right place?

Adeth: he told us this is where he saw that crazy woman.

(Alita's mother was gambling)

Mother: YOU CHEATED!

Other: YOU HAVE TO PAY UP

other: YOU LOST

Mother: YOU HID THE STONE!

Laura: Wonderful day it is right? Uh...no because you lost– but Miss–

Mother: What do you want? I can pay up for next week. I don't have money right now

Adeth: (chuckles awkwardly) You got it wrong, we are here to ask you about your missing daughter Alita.

Mother: (turned around) She's been missing for years, I assume she's dead.

Laura: Can you tell us, does she happen to look like this woman? (shows picture of Talia)

Adeth: She's one of Madam Darssiel's actors and the most favored one. She asked us to look for you.

Mother: Alita... looks at the picture

(Draw the curtains)

SCENE 6

Alita: bag o ra nahuman ug kanta. Duol napud mga fans

Mother: ALITA!

(Everyone looked at her and complained about her smell as she walked passed by)

Mother: ALITA! IT'S ME YOUR MOTHER (hug Alita) I THOUGHT I LOST YOU

Alita: pushed her away I don't know you

Mother: Let's go back home

Alita: I don't know her!

Laura: You can't say that to your own mother, Alita

Adeth: She was so worried because you suddenly disappeared for 4 years.

(People whispering)

Alita: Take away this crazy woman!

Mother: No! I am her mother! (she says as she’s being dragged away)

(Alita was being left alone. Char moment napud ka.)

Alita: All these years I was building my own empire, my own name. I thought I am finally free from my
past, from my unfortunate past. Now...I have everything I wanted, these expensive dresses, these
things, and this...this fame. I cannot loose everything because of who I am before.

(Curtains drawn)

Scene 7

(Ipanglabay ang news paper. Someone posts the newspaper on the board)

(People nagchika. Si Alita nilabay, covering her face)

(Another scene will unfold as the people will slowly walk away)

Madam: Everyone knows about your past now, Alita. My benefactors pulled out and my tickets are not
selling anymore! No matter how hard I try to hide your rotten past, it resurfaces back! People will see
the truth because it is something that can't be changed. You are rotten inside and out even if you try to
cover it with fancy dresses. (pushes Alita)

Madam: GO BACK TO WHERE YOU BELONG. I should've known better than taking in a town rat like you!
(walks away)

Alita: criesss

Scene 8

Alita: *naglakaw kay gipalayas, nadapa tas naay tigulang nitabang*

Old woman: A young woman like you wandering in the middle of the night. Do you have any place to
stay? *chuckle*

Alita: Naur

Old woman: perfect, I happen to make an extra pot of mushroom soup.

*guides Alita inside her house*

Old woman: you must have been experiencing some misfortunes. *looks at her panglayas na bag*

Alita: my entire life was nothing but full of misfortunes.

Old woman: well, I can guarantee you that tonight you are fortunate because you get to eat my delicious
mushroom soup *chuckles*
*nanghatag ug soup*

(Alita eats)

Scene 9

(Alita naggamag toy)

Old woman: a hobby of yours?

Alita: when I have a lot of things in mind I spend my time making dolls

Old woman: beautiful...you can make money out of it.

Alita: no one would buy it.

Old woman: have you heard about the story of sammy?

Sammy was low

Just watching the show
