Experiment 9 Simulation of Different Models in SIMULINK

Objectives

To explore the use of SIMULINK in the Simulation of Control Systems.

Note:- Students are advised to follow the SIMULINK TUTORIAL given in the textbook.

Procedure
 Students are advised to follow the SIMULINK TUTORIAL given in the textbook.

 Build SIMULINK models for the following systems in the lab.

 DC Motor Speed Control:

.
 Write the state space equations and find out state, input and output matrices.

 Simulate the state-space model using MATLAB, plot the state variables and output Vs
time and record your observations.

 Find the Transfer Function of this system and find the step response.

 Explore the effect of change in system parameters, controller gain and the input signal.
Sketch the SIMULINK model and record the input and output of the system along
with the system parameters in each case.

It is necessary to complete the logbook in the lab and show it to the instructor at the
end of this experiment.
