General Instructions:
Read the following instructions carefully and follow them:
1. This question paper contains 38 questions.
2. This question paper is divided into 5 sections A, B, C, D and E.
3. In Section A, question no 1-18 are multiple choice questions (MCQs)
and questions no 19 and 20 are Assertion – Reason based question of
1 mark each.
4. In Section B, question no 21 – 25 are very short answer (VSA) type
question carrying 02 marks each.
5. In Section C, question no 26 – 31 are short answer (SA) type question
carrying 03 marks each.
6. In Section D, question no 32–35 are long answer (LA) type question,
carrying 05 marks each.
7. In Section E, question no. 36–38 are case study based question
carrying 4 marks each with sub parts of the value of 1, 1 and 2 marks
each respectively.
8. All question are compulsory. However, an internal choice in 2
question of section B, 2 question of section C and 2 question of
section D has been provided. An internal choice has been provided in
all the 2 marks question of section E.
9. Draw neat and clean figures wherever required.
10. Take 𝜋 = 22/7 wherever required if not stated.

lighthouse. If the height of the lighthouse is 100 m, find the distance
between the ships. [Use √3 = 1.732]

(b) An aeroplane when flying at a height of 5000 m from the ground
passes vertically above another aeroplane at an instant when the
angles of elevation of the two aeroplanes from the same point on the
ground are 60° and 45° respectively. find the vertical distance between
the two aeroplanes at that instant. [Use √3 = 1.73]

respectively intersect at two points C and D such that AC and BC are
tangents to the two circles. Find the length of common chord CD.

respectively intersect at two points P and Q such that OP and O’P are
tangents to the two circles. Find the length of the common chord PQ.

Q33. Three lines 3x + 5y = 15, 6x – 5y = 30 and x = 0 are enclosing a


beautiful park. Find the points of intersection of the lines graphically
and the area of the park if all measurements are in metres.

each, while ARC and BSC are semi – circles of diameter 14 cm each.

Based on the above information answer the following questions.


(i) If one arc of the bridge is represented by -4x² + 3x + 1, then find its

(ii) If the Arch bridge is represented by -2x² - 3ax + 1 and one of the

Q38. Two friends were playing a game with two dice. Anju has a blue dice
and Nitish has a grey dice. They decided to throw both the dice

the top of both the dice.

On the basis of the above information answer the following question.

(ii) Find the probability that product of two numbers is odd.
