Inspired by Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon on the
Island of La Grande Jatte," this pizza box design
reimagines the iconic pointillist style for a
contemporary audience.Its textured surface mirrors
the pointillist technique, while subtle references to the
leisurely scene evoke a sense of relaxation and
enjoyment. This unique packaging, combining art and
culinary pleasure, aims to create a memorable and
visually appealing product that stands out on shelves
and resonates with both art enthusiasts and pizza
lovers. Additionally, the octagon's structure and order
align with Seurat's meticulous approach, while its
association with infinity and eternity reflects the
painting's timeless quality.

Concept Note
Process Notes
The entire painting is created using tiny dots of color
(pointillism)
The painting depicts people from various social
classes leisurely enjoying a Sunday afternoon in a
park by the Seine River in Paris.
The figures appear static, as if frozen in time.
The clothing of the people reflects the late 19th
century, with men in suits and hats, women in long
dresses with parasols, and children in period attire
The umbrellas add visual rhythm to the painting,
breaking the vertical lines of trees and figures.
Semicircles appear in various parts of the painting,
from the curves of umbrellas to the seated postures
of people.
