RESOLUTION NO. 2024 – 01
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING FORMAL RESIGNATION OF INCUMBENT SK CHAIRPERSON HON. NAME OF SK CHAIRPERSON FROM THE OFFICE OF SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN, ALIGNED WITH THE PROVISIONS OF REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11768. WHEREAS, Section 11 of Republic 10174 also known as the” Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015” states that “The SK chairperson and members shall hold office for a fixed term of three (3) years unless sooner removed for cause, permanently incapacitated, have died, or resigned from office.”;
WHEREAS, in strict accordance with the provisions stipulated in Republic Act No. 11768, otherwise known as the "Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2021," and recognizing the imperative of aligning with legislative mandates for the enhancement of youth governance;
WHEREAS, it is with sincere consideration and unwavering commitment to the
principles enshrined in Republic Act 10742 that HON. NAME OF SK CHAIRPERSON, the incumbent Chairperson of the Sangguniang of Barangay Name of Barangay, hereby tender his/her resignation from the esteemed position of SK Chairperson; WHEREAS, the decision to resign is predicated upon a steadfast dedication in promoting accountability, transparency, and effective youth representation within the framework established by Republic Act 10742, which endeavors to strengthen the capabilities and capacities of the SK in fulfilling its mandate;
WHEREAS, the incumbent SK Chairperson extends his/her deepest appreciation to the
members of the SK Council, Barangay Officials, and the youth constituents for their invaluable support and collaboration throughout his/her tenure, and the incumbent SK Chairperson trust that his/her resignation will facilitate the continuation of the collective efforts towards youth development and community engagement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the incumbent SK Chairperson, HON.
NAME OF SK CHAIRPERSON resign from the position of SK Chairperson, effective immediately upon the acceptance of this resolution by the appropriate authorities, in strict adherence to the directives outlined in Section 11 of Republic Act No. 10742;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be disseminated to the
relevant barangay authorities, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and all pertinent stakeholders for their reference and compliance with the statutory requirements delineated in RA 11768.
