OPEN UP MY EYES
Psalms 31
“12 I am forgotten as though I were dead; I have
become like broken pottery. 13 For I hear many whispering, “Terror on every side!” They conspire against me and plot to take my life. 14 But I trust in you, LORD; I say, “You are my God.” 15 My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me. 16 Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love”
If I asked you to drive a car with your eyes closed,
or blindfolded, do you think you would be able to do it?
It´s almost impossible to imagine a situation as
this. WHEN YOU SEE, YOU MOVE
On seeing there is the concept of
- Perspective - Distance - Reach
The more you see, the more you are able to move forward.
It´s really hard to find someone who doesn´t want
to move forward.
I know you got
DREAMS PLANS GOALS Things you´ve been dreaming about for a long time, and they seem to never come to pass.
So, the real question is, how to keep moving when
you cannot see clearly.
Out of a sudden you just lost the ability to see.
You can look everywhere, but can´t see anything.
Acctually, the Bible will tell us about this
condition.
1Co 2
“9 However, as it is written: “What no eye has
seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him—” So, there will really be a time where I won´t be able to see properly, and even tough , I will have to keep moving.
Maybe, sometimes you won´t see anything at all.
Feels like a void.
There is no sign
No evidence
No voice to be hear.
And even so, you have to keep moving
IT´S TIME TO KEEP MOVING
How?
Hb 11:1 “1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” “3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” “6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
WHEN I DON´T SEE, IT´S TIME TO MOVE BY FAITH
God brought you here tonight, because He wants
to touch your eyes, so you might see.
Which are the areas of your life, you just turned
blind.
Suddenly you cannot see any longer.
You´ve just lost it
The sense of
PERSPECTIVE DISTANCE REACH DIRECTION
They are all gone.
I am telling you, God is about to touch your eyes so
you may see.
Let Him do it
Let Him work on you, in areas you can´t provide
the outcome on your own anymore. It´s time to live, walk, and see by FAITH, and FAITH alone.
Our faith is not base on our circumstances, or our
sight.
Our faith is based on a God who is in charge of
what I cannot see right now.
He is here to touch you eyes.
1)EYES OPENED MEANS I AM NOT FORGOTTEN
Can you imagine how hard it was to be part of a
multitude in Jesus´ times?
There were so many people trying to squezze in,
to at least see Him passing by. There were, sick people, curious people, hungry people, all kinds of people , trying to just take a peak at Him.
Ok, so what would a blind man do in such a
crowed environment?
Why would you be there? Just to be ran over ny
thousands? Or to literally have someone stteping on your toes or thumbs?
Knees to your head?
There is no point of being a blind man in a
multidude.
But ONE….
If Jesus is coming by, all effort is worth, for HE IS
the ONLY ONE who can open up my eyes.
Mc 10 “46 Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. (NO OTHER HOPE) 47 When he heard (HE COULD NOT SEE) that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 48 Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” 50 Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. (COULD NOT SEE, BUT FOLLOWED THE VOICE) 51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” (NO MONEY, NO MARRIAGE, NO CAR, HE JUST WANTED TO BE ABLE TO WALK). 52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.” YOUR EYES WILL START TO BE OPEN UP, SO YOU MAY WALK.
KEEP MOVING TO THE SOUND OF THE VOICE
WHO CAN HEAL YOU
2)HE WILL OPEN UP MY EYES FOR THE CALLING I
HAVE
When our eyes are opened, we can now cleary see
the destiny God has for us
Acts 9
“But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my
chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.” 17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,”
MAY THE SCALES FROM YOUR EYES BE REMOVED
SO YOU CAN START SEEING THE DESTINY GOD HAS FOR YOU.
3)BEING AND BECOMING
One thing is to be blind.
When you are born blind, you pretty much get
used to it since is your only reality. But when you BECOME blind, it means that once you were able to see, and suddenly you lost the ability you had.
What is bringing you limitations?
You simple became numb
Became frustrated Became anxious Became BLIND
Jesus will make you see again
Mark 8:25
“25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s
eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.”
RESTORATION It is time to be restored
Limitations come to an END when he opens up our
eyes.
MAY YOUR EYES BE OPENED.
4)YOUR REAL EYES WILL BE OPENED NOW
What would be the greatest benefit of having our
eyes opened?
Is to understand that there is a different way of
seeing it…
I DON´T HAVE TO SEE
I SIMPLY KNOW HE IS IN CHARGE
HOW CAN WE COME TO THIS POINT?
Ephesians 1
“17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe.”
