1 INTRODUCTION

1.1 General introduction

In early 2013 Client has contracted DANA Geophysics Co. in the role as General Contractor
in cooperation with its Sub-Contractor Henjes Metall- und Anlagenbau to perform the Nasrabad
-e- Kashan Underground Gas Storage Development Project Phase I (Exploration consisting of
five main Tasks, namely:
1. Geological Studies and Reports
2. Geological and Geophysical Field Works
3. Drilling of 1 Exploration Well incl. sampling of bore hole cores
4. Geomechanical/Geochemical Laboratory Investigations and Final Feasibility Study
5. Preparation of Master Development Plan (MDP), Front End Engineering & Design
(FEED), Tender Documents for Project Phase II (Execution)
Tasks 1-3 have been duly completed by August 2016.
Task 4 will be proceeded with remaining activities.
Task 5 has started.

1.2 Purpose and scope of the document

This specification has been developed to ensure that all Project personnel are provided with,
and wear or hold, the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect themselves
against work related hazards which may endanger their health and safety.
This applies to all Contractors, Subcontractors and Vendor personnel involved in the Project’s
Site activities.

1.3 Project location

The location of the well NSC01-L1 is about 2 h driving south of Teheran.
In the close vicinity the following infrastructures are located:
• Highway Qom – Kashan
• Old Road Qom - Kashan
• Railway Station Firuzabad of the Railway Kashan – Teheran

Permeation breakthrough The chemical permeation of gloves is measured in
time accordance to European Standard EN374 or ASTM F 739.
The Breakthrough Time (BTT) is the time it takes a chemical
to establish permeation through the protective coating. The
Breakthrough (BTT) time is given in minutes and as a
permeation class or permeation rating.
The glove with the longest breakthrough time or highest
class/ rating offers the best chemical resistance to the test
chemical.

Mechanical load The mechanical load for gloves is rated according to

information below. The protection effect shall be chosen
according to kind of mechanical risk. The higher rated the
better the protection effect is.

3 CODES AND STANDARDS

The EPC contractor shall be responsible to ensure the conformity of its scope of supplies and
services with respective to the latest issue of relevant laws, ordinances and technical
regulations. National legislation and national technical regulations shall take precedence as
appropriate.
Acceptable Standards for surface facilities shall be IGS (Iranian Gas Standards) and IPS
(Iranian Petroleum standards). These two standards are silent. In some cases European
and/or American standards might be used in addition to the Iranian Standards.
All work related to the specified scope of supply and services including design,
manufacturing, installation, commissioning and performance tests of the complete system
shall conform to the latest edition of all relevant codes and standards.
