1.Describe three consultation and communication processes that a company could use to support
and encourage staff to contribute to policy and procedure development processes.
Information and Consultation of Employees (ICE): Based on UK regulations, ICE gives
employees the right to request that their employer informs and consults them about
organizational issues. Employers can set up employee forums and use effective methods
for running them.
Health and Safety Committees and Toolbox Meetings: Establishing health and safety
committees and conducting regular “Tool Box” meetings allow staff to participate in safety-
related discussions. These forums encourage input and collaboration on safety policies
and procedures.
Regular Updates and Team Meetings: Companies can provide regular updates to the
workforce through channels like email broadcasts or newsletters. Additionally, team
meetings with standing agenda items related to policy development foster open
communication and staff involvement.
