Sales makes a pillar to the business. No matter what you produce and no matter how premium your offering is. If you are not able to sell it , its in vain. Selling includes delivering and communication the value and help clients meet their needs. In essence, sales help one shaping the value offering for the client. sales is required for both new and existing organization,sales helps in creating better relationship with the client by delivering them good quality in products and timely delivery in such a way that is benefit for organization and their client I f there will be no sales than there would be no profit and company will collapse. Sales is the eye & ear of a company. It doesnt mean only sale of goods or service. It means educating the people about the company, product . It directly sale the product & indirectly sale the name & fame of the company. It gives a better understanding of the product to the customer.
Sales target on individuals or small groups. Marketing on the other hand targets a larger group o the general public. 2.Marketing means generating leads or prospects. sales means converting the leads or prospects into purchases and orders. 3.Marketing involves a longer process of building a name for a brand and pursuing the customer to buy it even if they do not need it. Where as sales only involve a short term of finding the target consumer. marketing -searching the customer requirement,interesting and which product is more required to customer. sales- customer take product and give price of product to sales person .in this process the shopkeeper take money and customer take product.
