Saturday, 14 January 2012 7:30 a.m. Auckland To Rotorua Via Waitomo Pick up from Sky City Hotel at 7:30 a.m. Drop off to Novotel Rotorua at 1:30 p.m. Board the Great Sights coach for an exciting tour to the magnificent Waitomo Caves and the geothermal wonderland of Rotorua. Travel south along the Auckland motorway to the Bombay Hills, and head into the farming province of Waikato. Your coach follows the Waikato River, New Zealand's longest river, through Hamilton and Otorohanga to Waitomo. Arrive at Waitomo for a guided tour through the spectacular Waitomo Caves and an underground boat ride through the famous 'Glowworm Grotto' (admission included). Please note, rain can affect water levels in the cave which may result in a shortened tour. Leaving the caves, your journey continues through the lush Waikato Plains and on to Fitzgerald Glade - a section of highway where the native bush and trees form a canopy overhead. A traverse of the forest clad Mamaku Hills proceeds until the delicate wafts of sulphur lure you into fiery Rotorua. Upon your arrival in Rotorua your coach will transfer you to your accommodation. Tamaki Tours Hangi & Concert This evening you will be met at your accommodation by a representative from Tamaki Tours for your evening's Hangi and Concert excursion. Visit the award winning Tamaki Maori Village for a Hangi & Concert. Your tour includes: Coach transfers to/from Tamaki Maori Village Te Wero (challenge) followed by a peace offering Powhiri (formal welcome) Waiata and Haka (traditional song and dance) Delicious Hangi (Maori feast) cooked according to Maori traditions under the earth on hot rocks) On conclusion of the evening you will be transferred back to your accommodation.

Highlights include: Te Puia 60 Minute Guided Tour Te Puia is New Zealand's leading and longest running cultural tourism attraction, offering visitors an insight into Maori history and culture, as well as an opportunity to view the spectacular

Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley. Rainbow Springs Admission Breathe deeply, and take in the native bush, ferns, trees and plants that grow and flower all around you as you wander through the tree lined pathways at Rainbow Springs Nature Park. Enjoy the tranquillity of the crystal clear mineral water that flows tirelessly from the subterranean springs throughout the park, and marvel at the silent grace of the magnificent specimens of Rainbow, Brown and Tiger trout and feed them as they cruise the fern-fringed pools. Hear the bustling bush wildlife, and meet the curious species of native birds on display. Agrodome Sheep Show The Agrodome Sheep Show is a one-hour performance where you will see nineteen sheep breeds introduced onto the stage, and be shown the art of sheep shearing, along with sheepdog demonstrations, cow milking, bottle feed lambs and an exciting sheep auction. Audience participation is a major part of this entertaining show, highlighting the significance of agriculture in New Zealand. Upon conclusion of your tour your driver will then transfer you back to your accommodation. Monday, 16 January 2012 8:00 a.m. Today you will be met at your accommodation by a representative from Super Shuttle and will be transferred to the airport to connect with your flight. ROT / ZQN Your Air New Zealand flight NZ 8585 departs. Check in at the airport is no later than 30 minutes prior to departure time shown. Arrive at your destination. Upon your arrival in Queenstown and after collecting your luggage, please make your way outside the terminal and locate the Super Shuttle vans, light silver van with a big green circle and arrow, usually waiting immediately opposite the exit. Please advise the driver where you are to be transferred to, that the transfer is prepaid and hand your voucher to the driver. On the rare occasion where there are no Super Shuttle vans at the airport, please return inside the terminal to the Information Centre and use the free Super Shuttle phone and they will collect you as soon as possible. Tuesday, 17 January 2012 7:05 a.m. Discover Milford Sound (including Buffet lunch) Pick up from Copthorne Hotel & Resort at 7:05 a.m. Drop off to Copthorne Hotel & Resort at 8:00 p.m. This morning board your Great Sights coach to Milford Sound. Journey will take along the edge of Lake Wakatipu, through Kingston and Mossburn in to Te Anau. There is a morning tea stop here. Continue on through the Eglinton Valley to the Mirror Lakes, before following the "Avenue of the Disappearing Mountain", past Cascade Creek and Lake Gunn and on to The Divide. Proceed through the Hollyford Valley to the Homer Tunnel, a man-made tunnel cut out of the rock wall, to emerge into the Cleddau Valley, and on to Milford Sound. Join your Milford Sound Cruise to explore the wonder of this majestic fiord - a buffet lunch will be served on board (included). Cruise passes the Mitre Peak one of the highest mountains in the world to rise directly from the ocean floor. View the Stirling and the Bowen Falls as your cruise takes you out to the mouth of the Pacific Ocean, passing the lonely lighthouse at the mouth of the sound. Spot

the seals and watch out for dolphins who occasionally surf the bow wave of the boat. After your cruise, re-board your coach to further enjoy the scenery as you return to Queenstown via the same route. Please note: an optional scenic return flight to Queenstown is available at your own expense, weather permitting. Should you wish to take the flight option, your driver can assist with arrangements. Wednesday, 18 January 2012 At Queenstown Today is completely at your leisure to enjoy the many sights of this alpine resort situated on the shores of Lake Wakatipu. Queenstown offers something for everyone you can enjoy the quiet beauty and tranquillity of this mountain retreat and enjoy several walking trails in the town area. For sheer excitement there is white-water rafting, helicopter rides, the famous jet boats and bungy jumping to pump your adrenalin. There are cruises on the lake, visits to high country sheep stations. You can visit nearby Arrowtown where the main street has been preserved since the 1860's gold rush days and you can try your luck and pan for gold in the adjacent Shotover River. The optional sightseeing trips can be booked at "The Station", in Queenstowns central shopping area. We have included the Skyline Gondola ride in your tour package. Skyline Gondola Ride Please note: Your voucher for the Skyline Gondola is open-dated and able to redeemed at anytime during the Operating Hours Operating Hours: Open daily from 9.00 a.m. until late evening Reputed to be the steepest lift in the Southern Hemisphere, the gondola carries visitors high above Queenstown to the Skyline complex located on Bob's Peak. Situated an easy five minute walk from central Queenstown, the gondola is an all weather tourist attraction in its own right. Sit back and relax as the views from the gondola unfold while you journey to the Skyline complex.

Thursday, 19 January 2012 8:10 a.m. Queenstown To Christchurch Via Mt Cook Pick up from Copthorne Hotel & Resort at 8:10 a.m. Drop off to Christchurch Intercity Depot at 6:55 p.m. Join your Great Sights coach to travel on to Christchurch. Leaving Queenstown we soon pass picturesque Lake Hayes and then plunge into the narrow and rocky Kawarau Gorge. The township of Cromwell was once the centre of gold mining activity, which is evident from the dredge tailings, which line the road through to Tarras. The Lindis River guides us up to the summit of the pass where the expanse of the McKenzie Plains stretches to the north. Artificial Lake Ruataniwha (where world champion oarsmen and women compete), hydro-electricity canals and milky Lake Pukaki, guide us into the Mount Cook National Park. After lunch (optional extra) we return past Lake Pukaki and turn north to Lake Tekapo and then across Burkes Pass to reach Fairlie, the rolling South Canterbury downs, and the village of Geraldine.

From here we drive across the Canterbury Plains, with its orderly paddocks and fence lines for the grain growing and sheep farming industry, arriving in Christchurch approximately at 6.55 p.m.
