    EASTER SEASON
    I. EASTER is not just a day but a period of 50 days in the liturgy that recalls Jesus resurrection and his last days on earth. It is the season of the new creation, where the victory of Jesus Christ over sin and death renewed everything. Our Alleluias (Hallel=praise; Yah=Yahweh) give praise to God that even death cannot conquer His life giving love. This is a time of joyful celebration of the triumph of goodness, hope and positive outlook. This is the time to see the better side of life and move on from darkness to light. In the liturgy, the Paschal candle which symbolizes the Light of Christ, remains lighted in the sanctuary during this entire season. In spiritual terms, Easter is not a period of time but a new way of life that is patterned after the life of the Risen Christ, dying to sin and rising to his grace (Colossians 3:1-4). ALLELUIA! II. PEACE is the work of love, the fruit of justice , the result of forgiveness, the gift of the Risen Christ We dont find PEACE because we dont give love, we dont practice justice, we dont offer forgiveness, and we dont follow the Risen Christ.

    Feast of Divine Mercy


    Sunday, April 15th
    Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of this incredible promise and the additional plenary indulgence on this Great Feast of Mercy. Our Divine Mercy Sunday Devotion will be this Sunday, April 15th, 2:003:30 pm in the church. A pot-luck celebration will follow in the hall. Please join us.

    This is YOUR parish. All adult women and men are invited to join us to do fix-up jobs around the church grounds. A great opportunity to give of your time and talent! Afterwards, enjoy food and fellowship at a catered lunch. ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: Held the 2nd Saturday of month, Daily Chapel, 8:45 am - 3:30 pm. ANCIENT ORDER OF HIBERNIANS: Every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Music Room. BIBLE SHARING (Sunday by Sunday): Monday mornings, 9:00-10:30 am, in the Ministry Center. BINGO: Every Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. Babysitting is available. CHILDCARE: Every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. till noon in the Preschool; for infants and children up to four years of age. For more information, call (858) 279-0161. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults): For adults seeking Baptism or for baptized adults seeking full membership in the Catholic Church by preparing to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
