TOP-HUNG SLIDING DOOR HARDWARE FFI has a variety of top-hung sliding systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications. Systems are tested to Class 6 standards of 100,000 cycle testing. Important notes for top-hung doors: Product use outside of recommendations will void the warranty. Recommendations for mounting heavy top-hung doors: Anchor head track securely to a structural member that is rated to hold the weight of the doors plus the weight of the hardware. Header must not be able to sag. Head track must be installed plumb and square on the wall or ceiling header. Recommendations for weight limit: Track is the limiting factor in top-hung weight capacity limits; over-loaded tracks might deform; exceeding the track rating is not recommended or warranted. Using more than 2 carriages is not recommended and will not mean a higher weight rating. About weather-seals: Top-hung sliding doors are meant for applications where weather-seal is not required. Seals can be used on these doors, though the door wont glide as smoothly.

T400/T480 bi-fold configurations: T400/T480 is ideal for layouts with odd number of panels, with a jamb panel operating as a swing door. If using an even number of panels, an airgap will occur in the middle, to be covered by an astragal. T400/T480 bifold jamb panels must be shorter than other panels (except if both jamb panels are swing doors not hinged to the jambs).

Important notes for top-hung doors: Product use outside of recommendations will void the warranty. Recommendations for mounting heavy top-hung doors: Anchor head track securely to a structural member that is rated to hold the weight of the doors plus the weight of the hardware. Header must not be able to sag. Head track must be installed plumb and square on the wall or ceiling header. Recommendations for weight limit: Track is the limiting factor in top-hung weight capacity limits; over-loaded tracks might deform; exceeding the track rating is not recommended or warranted. Using more than 2 carriages is not recommended and will not mean a higher weight rating. About weather-seals: Top-hung sliding doors are meant for applications where weather-seal is not required. Seals can be used on these doors, though the door wont glide as smoothly.

Screws for rollers: size recommended is #8 Phillips flat head. Use stainless steel screws for stainless rollers. Screws are not included because length and thread type is determined by door material.
