LEGACY
Formal education in india in the early 1950s, was a privilege that only the socially elite were entitled to. reforms to create an equal society had just begun in free india; however, plans took time to permeate to remote corners of the nation. unemployment in the rural areas was rampant. The thinker that he was, dr.n.Mahalingam realised that education would provide that vital link between illiteracy and unemployment. He also realised that the sole purpose of education was not merely to provide a means of livelihood; rather, it was to create a way of life.
KCT Business school is a reflection of the vision of dr.n. Mahalingam, a padmabhushan Awardee and Chairman of the sakthi group, Coimbatore. A staunch follower of Mahatma gandhi, he envisioned KCT Business school students to be fiercely competitive but at the same time uphold the cherished values of honesty, integrity and commitment. The The school is founded with a strong commitment to developing industry relevant curriculum, recruiting leading faculty, placing a renewed emphasis on experiential learning, offering a wide range of elective options and uncompromising standard of excellence which has helped in incubating young leaders to the corporate world. The institution has already acquired wide recognition for its curriculum, pedagogy, inculcation of human excellence and community engagement. KCT Business school is located in dr. Facilities for indoor games and recreation activities are open to the students at dr.Arumugam students sports Centre. games such as Football, Cricket, Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Table tennis, Basketball, Volleyball and Hockey are very popular among the students. KCT Business school derives immense strength by being a part of the sakthi group. The prestigious sakthi group, Coimbatore was founded in 1921. Today, the sakthi group is led by the spirited leadership of dr. n. Mahalingam and managed by a team of committed, dynamic members.
