Functions
SPIPA conducts different kinds of training programs for Central and State Government employees, Foundation Courses,
Executive Development Programs etc. SPIPA also runs the State Institute of Rural Development, the Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management and a Center for Good Governance.
Activities of SPIPA
Executive Development Programmes (2-3 days each) designed with useful, relevant and concurrent content for target group participants
Seminars, conferences, discussions, symposia, workshops etc Civil services study center Conducting departmental examinations for promotions Publications
Reviewing the on going projects, examining documents, preparing background note and facilitating with different branches for the synchronization of the project

Monitoring the projects undertaken by the institution like Centre for WTO Studies, Customized Courses in EDP Branch, Good Governance programs
Evaluation of the proposals received from Consultants Improvement in the training programs that will be held in the institute Liazoning with Government of India and various authorities for ensuring seamless project operations
Assisting/Managing various Training Programs, Mid-Career Interaction Meets and the like given to the Institute by the Government of India
Managing the new activities, such as Lecture Series, MOU with National Institute of Administrative Research
Monitoring of the usage of grants received from Govt. of India/ Govt. of Gujarat for different projects
