AGLs are in service today !
Sweden was the first country in

Europe to adopt a 40 mm AGL
system.
AGLs are in service in the navy
amphibious battalions.
One AGL is issued to each ranger
platoon.
AGLs are also used in SFOR and
KFOR mounted on the SISU Pasi
6x6 armored vehicle.

Two competitors:
Nammo/Saco/CDC: Striker.
OPC/CAI: Upgraded Mk19.
Deliveries will start in 2003.
Studies for a hand held launchers will be
placed with industries this fall.
