Corporate Social Responisiblity (CSR)

CSR is the responsibility of a company towards any


community or environment (both social and
ecological). This term became popular in 1960s. Many
companies undertake this responsibility for building a
good image in the eyes of the society.
State Bank Of India (SBI)

State Bank of India (SBI) is an Indian multinational, public


sector banking and financial services company. It is
a government-owned corporation with its headquarters
in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
State Bank of India is one of the Big Four banks of India.
State Bank of India is a banking behemoth and has 20%
market share in deposits and loans among Indian
commercial banks.
CSR Activites By SBI
300 Ambulance Vans to needy and service
organisations.
42,000 water purifiers and 1, 40,000 ceiling fans to more
than fifty thousand schools to provide clean water and
conducive climate to school children.
Under health care activities SBI has extended assistance
to a tune of Rs. 14 crores for support to hospitals in the
form of Medical equipments.

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited (M&M) is an


Indian multinational automobile manufacturing
corporation headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra,
India. It is one of the largest vehicle manufacturers by
production in India and the largest manufacturer of
tractors across the world. It is also involved in different
sectors like Farm Equipments , Energy sector etc.
CSR activities by Mahindra & Mahindra
Project Nanhi Kali

It supports the education of over 11 lakh underprivileged girls in ten states,


providing material support (uniforms, bags, notebooks, shoes and socks) and
academic support (workbooks, study classes).

Project Hariyali

Under this project, Mahindra has planted 7.9 million trees till date,
including four million trees in the tribal belt of Araku Valley.
Steel Authority Of India Limited (SAIL)

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is one of the largest


state-owned steel making company based in New Delhi,
India and one of the top steel makers in world.

SAIL operates and owns 5 integrated steel plants


at Bhilai, Rourkela, Durgapur, Bokaro and Burnpur. SAIL
traces its origin to the Hindustan Steel Limited (HSL)
which was set up on 19th January 1954.
CSR Activities By SAIL

Healthcare
SAIL has established 54 Primary Health Centres, 12 Reproductive
& Child Health Centres, 17 Hospitals and 7 Super-Specialty Hospitals for
providing specialized healthcare to more then 30 million people since
inception.
Education
146 schools have been set up in the steel townships for providing
modern education to about 70,000 children and assistance has been
provided to over 286 schools of villages surrounding steel plants/units for
free education of more than 55,000 students. 225 tribal children at Bhilai
and 12 boys of the nearly extinct Birhore tribe at Bokaro have been
adopted and are provided free education, boarding and lodging.

Education
The Titan school and the Titan Foundation for Education - a primary
school currently enrolling 300 students.
Healthcare
Eye care camps, Eye donation initiatives - Aids Awareness- Programs
for the differently abled - No tobacco drive, Children's programs.

Partnering with NGOs like CRY, Concern India and Ashraya for helping in the
development of the society.
