    How have we changed over time and what are we


    moving towards?
    Whats happening to the World ?
    1939 - 1945
    One of the worst moments in the
    history of humanity...
    THE WORLD WAR II
    World in a chaos condition
    More than 40 countries
    involved in this war
    1946
    The war in Europe has ended, the
    widest and most destructive armed
    conflict in history is over
    But its another beginning for
    WORLD IN THE GREAT DEPRESSION
    The lost of entire generation young leaders
    A new generation of leaders
    would have to emerge from the
    universities with the responsibility
    of rebuilding their countries
    In September 1946 Students
    from 9 Universities and 6
    countries came together in Liege
    to build a new co-operation
    They created what would one day
    be the largest student organization
    on the planet ...
    Then this
    organization was
    establish

    At Stockholm
    Congress at 1949
    L Association
    Internationale des
    Etudiants en
    Sciences
    Economiques et
    Commerciale
    They saw the power of
    exchange, that
    would create a new generation of
    young leaders, who would emerge
    from university
    with the cultural sensitivity and
    responsibility
    of rebuilding their countries
    They had the idea for an
    organization to be
    an international, non-political, non-
    profit, student-run, independent,
    educational foundation.
    It will be comprised of students and
    recent graduates of institutions of
    higher education who do not
    discriminate on the basis of race,
    colour, sex, sexual orientation, creed,
    Religion, national or ethnic origin.
    Working towards

    Peace
    And the Fulfillment of
    Humankinds Potential
    Since then many things
    have changed
    Over the years, more and
    more countries have joined
    the AIESEC network
    1953 AIESEC is already in 14 countries
    including the adversaries of the last
    world war and one communist
    country (Yugoslavia)

    1957
    AIESEC expands to the
    AMERICAS !
    1958 AIESEC is established in South
    Africa, the first African nation to
    join the AIESEC network

    Tunisia becomes 1961


    the first part of AIESEC in the
    Middle East / North Africa
    network
    1963 AIESEC expands
    to Japan

    1965
    AIESEC expands to
    Australia
    Now the globe faces new
    struggles
    And the need for positive
    leadership is greater than
    ever
