QM suggests the vendor with a suitable quality standard for procuring goods.
Vendors are required to enclose the quality certificates along with the delivery
Triggers inspections automatically when goods are received (If applicable for
this material)
Provides Information what certificates are required by the vendor and controls
if they are complete.
Transfers all goods received into Quality stock until they are cleared from QM
The production is
monitored to check
quality of produced
goods.
Basically QM in „sales“ is like QM in „goods receipt“ only the other way around:
customer
If quality certificate are needed they are printed automatically along with
delivery documents
Handles all customer complaints and traces back the problems to vendors or to
internal problems such as in production
