At the end of the day, the pupils will be able
to:

• identify the different seasons in the


Philippines and their effects on livelihood
and health of the people in the community;
• express through drawing and role play the
appropriate activities to do in each season
in the Philippines; and
• appreciate the importance of considering
appropriate activities to do in each season
in the Philippines.

UNLOCKING OF DIFFICULTIES
• Weather – refers to the condition of a
place in a short period of time.
• Climate - is an average condition of a
place over long period of time
• Seasons – a period of the characterized
by or associated with a particular activity
• Tropical – characteristic of a region or
climate with temperatures high enough to
support year-round plant growth given
sufficient moistures

• Windy: Slide all your fingers slowly to

What is a dry season?
• Dry season is characterized by hot
and cloudless days.
• Between January and May the
climate is usually dry with
occasional rain showers.
DRY SEASON
• During January and February,
the air is cold and dry.
• The peak of the Dry Season is in
April with less or no rain
shower throughout the
month.

• The Dry Season is influenced by
the Seasonal Wind and the
Northeast Monsoon
(Amihan).
What is a wet season?
• Wet season is characterized by
pronounced rainy season with
thunderstorms .
• Wet seasons starts at June and
peaks in July to September.
WET SEASON
• The air is hot and humid ,
which brings heavy rains and
typhoon.
• It is influenced by Habagat or
Southeast Moonsoon.
