ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND • WHEN DID THE SCHOOL STARTED: PADRE IMO LUNA MEMORIAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL- SPED CENTER STARTED LAST 2007. • PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED: LEARNING MATERIAL ARE NOT WELL EQUIPPED. LACK OF NECESSITY SUCH AS APPROPRIATE CHAIRS AND TABLES FOR EACH SPECIFIC DISABILITY. • PROGRAMS ON INCLUSIVE EDUCATION: K+12 PATTERNED CURRICULUM – LATE KINDERGARTEN. IMPLEMENTING THE PROGRAM
HOW DOES THE PROGRAM BEING IMPLEMENTED:
A 3 SESSION OF CLASSES WAS DONE EVERY DAY. ORGANIZATIONAL CHART SAMPLES OF STUDENT PROFILES AND THEIR CASES UNFORTUNATELY, THE PROFILE OF THE ENROLLED STUDENTS IS CONFIDENTIAL, THEY DIDN’T ALLOW US TO HAVE THE PROFILE OF THEIR STUDENTS. BUT, WE ASK THEM ABOUT THE CASES OF DISABILITY OF THEIR STUDENTS. ALL OF THE 14 DISABILITIES THAT IS IDENTIFIED BY IDEA (INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES EDUCATION ACT) ARE PRESENT WITH THEIR STUDENT. 14 CATEGORIES OF DISABILITY ACCORING TO IDEA
• AUTISM • MULTIPLE DISABILITIES
• DEAF-BLINDNESS • ORTHOPEDIC IMPAIRMENT • DEAFNESS • OTHER HEALTH IMPAIRMENT • DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY • SPECIFIC LEARNING DISABILITY • EMOTIONAL DISTURBANCE • SPEECH OR LANGUAGE IMPAIRMENT • HEARING IMPAIRMENT • TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY • INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY • VISUAL IMPAIRMENT, INCLUDING BLINDNESS IMPACT OF THE PROGRAM TO SPED STUDENTS IT WAS A GREAT HELP THE STUDENTS BECAUSE IT EXPANDS THEIR HORIZON. IT DELIMITS THEIR EXPOSURE UNLIKE WHEN THEY ARE IN THEIR HOME. IT GIVES DIFFERENT AND MUCH MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO THEM. HOW THE SPED TEACHERS ARE BEING MONITORED AND EVALUATED? THERE IS A YEARLY EVALUATION FOR THE TEACHERS SIMILAR TO THE TEACHERS OF REGULAR STUDENTS. THERE ARE SEVERAL MONITORING TOOLS E.G. IS THE IEP. ALSO ONE OF THE TOOLS FOR EVALUATION IS THE EVALUATION SHEET OF THE STUDENTS. THERE ARE ALSO SEVERAL OBSERVATIONS IN THE CLASS. LASTLY, THEIR DAILY LESSON LOG IS BEING MONITORED.
