Music is a part of art that uses sounds for its media. This music
is influenced by supporting elements such as location, culture and also
the supporting community. Kosasih argues that: music is a place
where humans can pour out their hearts, a place to describe the
vibrations of imaginary souls that arise in the mind which cannot be
triggered by the intercession of words, actions or through the
mediation of one of the other fields of art. Besides music according to
Aristotle has the ability to reconcile a troubled heart, have a creative
therapy and foster a spirit of patritism.
Prehistoric music in Indonesia since thousands of years ago it
turns out that the development of music in Indonesia already exists, so
that music is said to have transcended the boundaries of language,
culture and even religion. For Westerners, India has often been
compared to Indonesia. The treasures of art in Indonesia are very rich
and of high quality and can align with classical art in a developing
country.
 Prehistoric times (before the 1st century BC)

It turns out that Indonesian prehistory has not been much researched in other
words investigated by archaeologists, historians or others. In fact, the time between the
years around 2500 BC and the 1st century BC found cultural developments including music
to this day. This lower layer is ridden with a new layer with two immigration flows:

 Pre-Malay immigration
Between the years 2500 and 1500 BC, a movement of people from central Asia to Southeast
Asia would occur.

 Proto-Malay immigration

death, marriage, birth, and religious and state ceremonies.

routines, as well as a means of recreation and a meeting place
with other residents.
 Means of communication
In some places in Indonesia, certain sounds that have certain
meanings for members of the community.

 Dance accompaniment
In various regions in Indonesia, sounds or music are created by
the community to accompany regional dances.

 Economic facilities
For musicians and professional artists, music does not merely
function as a medium of expression and self-actualization,
music is also a source of income.
So many traditional arts that are owned by the nation of Indonesia,
then to more easily recognize it can be grouped into several groups,
following the names of musical instruments:
 Percussion music instrument is the name or designation for all
instruments (alt music) in which the method or technique of playing is
struck.
 Stringed musical instruments, Sasando is a stringed musical instrument
from the East Nusa Tenggara region.
 Stringed instrument is a musical instrument that is played on the string.
 And wind instruments, a flute is a musical instrument that is played how
to play it.
In general, keroncong music has very limited musical harmony
and improvisation. Generally the songs have the same shape and
arrangement. The verses consist of several sentences (generally 7
sentences) interspersed with musical instruments:

 Dangdut music is created from a blend of Indian music with Malay
