    Positive
    • New machineries were introduced
    • There was an increase in technologies
    • During the Industrial Revolution assembly lines were introduced, where different workers worked on different tasks.
    • It introduced mass production.
    • Supply of goods rose.
    • Job opportunities were created.
    • Transporting raw materials became easier.
    • The newly invented steam engine provided cheap movement of goods through waterways.
    • Canals were built.
    • The inventions of railroads dramatically revolutionized life in Britain.
    • Fresh food could be delivered to distant towns.
    • Time standards, mail systems and newspapers were invented.
    • Roads were improved.
    • Sanitation was also improved.
    Negative Impacts
    • Urban areas led to overcrowding.
    • Living conditions became unhealthy.
    • Factory work got dirty and dangerous.
    • The workers were underpaid and overworked.
    • Businesses started hiring children to work in factories.
    • There was discrimination between classes.
    • The pollution in the environment got worse.
    • Water canals were contaminated.
    • The sanitary conditions were also poor because they were not adapted by the massive rural exodus.
    • The weather conditions got bad eventually.
    • There was an increase in crime and violence.
    • Everything was targeted towards the mass. Therefore quality decreased.
