ANALYSIS
INFERENTIAL STATISTICS
• Inferential Statistics are used to draw conclusions about a population by
examining the sample.
• Investigate questions, models and hypotheses. In many cases, the conclusion
from inferential statistics extend beyond the immediate data alone.
• Statistics that use sample data to make decision or inferences about a
population.
• Populations are the group of interest-but data analyzed on samples.
INFERENTIAL STATISTICS
• The goal of the inferential statistics is to draw conclusions from a sample
and generalize them to the population. It determines the probability of the
characteristics of the sample using probability theory.
