    INTRODUCTION
    Listening is the capacity to precisely get and convert
    messages in the communication cycle. Listening is vital to
    all viable communication. Without the capacity to listen
    viably, messages are handily misinterpreted.

    Listening is certainly not a passive cycle. Truth be told, the


    audience should participate and be occupied with the
    communication process. The expression 'active listening' is
    utilized to portray this process of being completely
    included. Listening is the capacity to comprehend what
    others are stating.
    Teaching Listening skills acquire patience and experienced
    knowledge. As teachers are teaching, challenges such as
    noise distraction from the surrounding, lack of equipment,
    student lack of focus, and poor language users are faced by
    the teachers.

    One of the most common challenge is poor language users who are
    unable to adapt new vocabulary in their communication cycle. As they
    are unaware of vocabulary, they will not understand the meaning of it.

    One of the way to overcome this common challenge is, to separately


    ask the students to have a notebook for vocabulary and a dictionary
    during class. Introduce them to 10 new vocabulary per lesson
    before the class begins.

    PRODUCTION STAGE
    There are 3 stages of listening therefore will be 3 activities upon
    each stages.

    1. Pre-listening Activity: Mind map


    (15 Minutes)
    The teacher will write the word ‘Pandemic’ in the middle of the board,
    in big letters. Then, draw a circle around it. Next, the student is given a
    whiteboard marker, and asked to think of a word that relates to
    ‘pandemic’ and write it on the board. Then the teacher asks him or her
    to draw a line from “pandemic” to the word, and draw a circle around
    it. Then, the teacher repeats these steps until there are five different
    words on the board.
    2. WHILE LISTENING
    ACTIVITY

    original passage to compare.

    Methodologies
    ● The materials used during pre - listening stage
    activity is simply a pen, a piece of paper and a
    whiteboard which is provided by the teacher.
    ● During the Gap-fill activity, they will only listen
    carefully to the recording and fill in the
    transcript given by the teacher.
    ● During ‘Mind Map’ activity, they will only use a
    whiteboard marker given by the teacher whilst
    during ‘Dictogloss’, ONLY stationeries are
    required.

    REFLECTION
    Listening is the capacity to precisely get and deliver messages in the communication cycle. Listening is critical to all viable
    communication. Without the capacity to listen adequately, messages are handily misjudged. Thus, communication separates and the
    sender of the message can without much of a stretch become disappointed or bothered. In the event that there is one communication
    expertise you should plan to dominate, at that point listening is it. Having the option to listen well is vital to any work or educational
    environment communication. The significance of listening abilities in communication can't be downplayed. Extraordinary listening
    abilities will permit you to perform better, impart all the more successfully, see more, and feel like a piece of the group.
     

    Thus, teaching listening in schools are even essential skill for each and every student. Teaching listening is never a easy task to be done.
    Many students are stuck with different flaws. This makes the teacher’s task harder. Handling the students with different flaws
    individually in language such as lack of proficiency, poor communication skill, students who are poor in vocabulary, grammar and
    sentence structure will be a big challenge for each and every teacher. 
    REFLECTION
    Teaching listening is never a easy task to be done. Many students are stuck with different flaws.

    a big challenge for each and every teacher.

    As we as a team were preparing for this assignment, we learned to unite and work as a team. Unity is
    a vital thing. Teamwork made the assignment even more easier as we split up our task and complete it
    respectively. Certainly, everyone was dedicated to complete the task before the due. As we interviewed
    the teacher, Mrs. Lam Sook Heng , we also learned that teaching is never a easy task, even the most
    experienced teacher face many challenges teaching listening skills with the individual flaws among
    the students.
