    CONCEPT
    • The emphasis was to design a residential
    school with a concept of ‘serial vision’ being
    an inherent part of the campus design
    • Serial vision - A method to experience the
    space and its transformations, a revelation,
    changes and contrasts of the built environment
    that one can experience when exploring the
    space from pressure to vacuum, from
    enclosure to exposure, from traditional to
    modern, from public to semi-public, from
    streets to squares, etc.
    DESING DERIVATIVES
    • Basic form of vaulted roofs
    • Human scale, serial vision and the
    movement concourse in residential cluster
    • Built form of dormitory has evolved to
    complement the terrain
    • Space with formal enclosure and oblique
    lines of movement
    • Concave and convex roof forms
    • All built forms are evolved from a generic built form of dormitory
    building

    SWOC ANALYSIS
    • Strength
     Natural ventilation, maximized daylight using skylights, thermally
    insulated roofs, eco-friendly surrounding gives an environment like
    home to the students which enhances easy learning due to the nature
    friendly schooling.
     The Solar Passive Architecture gives a greater advantage to the
    building by using natural light to its maximum efficiency.
     The sun, shade, shadow, rain, breeze, trees, fruits, flowers,
    fragrances, birds and now pets set forth a pleasant interactive
    ambience for ‘a complete learning' experience of the student.
    • Weakness
     The Heritage School is built on a sloping terrain of the rural area which is far from the urban
    area civilization.
     The school has two parts: Residential cluster and Academic cluster. The residence of the
    students is included in the school itself making it difficult to travel far away to the city for
    daily basic needs. 
     Omnipresent hillock and the rolling landform makes it difficult to maintain the surrounding of

    • Challenge
     The school is located on a ten acre plot, but the built environment comprises 6,200 square
    meters which is a large area of land for proper maintenance. The challenge occurs here is the
    maintenance of the surrounding. The hills, landforms, natural environment, weather, seasonal
    changes, occurrence of animals and birds makes it difficult in the sustenance of the ecofriendly
    nature of the building.

    The architectural intervention gives back to nature


    in a manner that students would wish to spend their vacation
    too in the campus. The peaceful ecofriendly environment
    gives an edge to the heritage school for students to enjoy the
    campus area and enrich the learning process.
