A: Hello, Mrs. Kang. Welcome to Korea Exporting Co., Ltd.
B: Thank you for your warm welcome.
A: You’re welcome. Have a seat, please. And make
yourself at home. Can I get you something to drink, some
tea or coffee?
B: Yes, coffee, please.
A: Okay, did you have any trouble finding our company?
B: No. Actually it was pretty easy to find. The directions
you gave me were perfect.
Practice
A: Mr. Jo, I’d like to introduce our company first. As you know, we are a
medium-sized company and we specialize in exporting and manufacturing
electronic parts.
B: When was your company founded?
A: Our company was established in 1999 and we have been doing
business as one of the leading exporters in Korea.
B: How many employees do you have?
A: We have 500 employees at the moment.
B: And what about the annual profit of your company?
A: The annual profit is over 50 million. Our products have superior quality
and reliability, and we give top priority to customer satisfaction. So, we
expect sales to increase by 7% next year.
B: That sounds great. We are also very interested in working with you to
develop new markets.
Practice
A: I’ll give you a brochure about our plant.
B: Thank you. It would be helpful.
A: Here is the R&D Center in our plant.
B: The brochure says there are 30 research employees.
A: That’s right. They are always developing new products for the
world market. The building over there is the training center.
B: Are there trainees from overseas?
A: Yes. Now we have ten from Asian countries. This is the laboratory.
B: How many people work in the lab and the plant?
