Process
Speaking spaces include classrooms, auditoriums, ballrooms, social
halls, meeting or conference rooms, open courts, and more, depending
on their size.

01

Speaking venues vary in size. Some examples of these venues are classrooms, meeting or conference
rooms, ball rooms, social halls, auditoriums, covered courts, open courts, and so on. A general audience
is defined as everyone who will listen to the speech or read the paper. A specific audience, on the other
hand, is the subset of the general audience that the speaker specifically wishes to reach or to reach in a
different way than the rest of the group.
Process
You'll be exposed to various venues, which will enhance your
background in public speaking.

02

Exposure to diverse venues refers to encountering a range of spaces or environments where events,
activities, or interactions occur. This can involve investigating a variety of venues, including
conferences, theaters, study spaces, or other establishments that host a range of gatherings.
Process
Your audience will be up close and personal in a small venue, so make
sure you manage your notes wisely and adjust your overbroad cause as
needed.

03

Maintain a natural and engaged demeanor with the intimate settings. In a small venue with close-knit
audience, manage your notes discreetly and adjust your nonverbal cues accordingly.
Process
It will be necessary for you to make significant changes to your
nonverbal cues, voice volume, body language, facial expression, etc.

04

Modifying aspects such as voice volume, body language, and facial expression to convey different
messages or adapt to different situations is necessary when making significant adjustments in nonverbal
cues. This adaptability can improve communication effectiveness in a variety of contexts.
Process
To determine the necessary adjustment, check the venue days prior to
your scheduled speech and arrive hours early.

05

Examining the venue a few days prior to your scheduled speech and arriving early enables you to evaluate
the area and make any necessary adjustments to your presentation, taking into account aspects such as
lighting, audio seating, and acoustics. This kind of planning ensures a smoother and more successful
delivery of your speech.
Process
When speaking to a large audience, slow down, highlight key points of your
speech with frequent pauses, use gestures and facial expressions, and make
visual aids more visible.

06

Speaking more slowly and incorporating frequent pauses can help emphasize important points in a large
venue. Using facial expressions and gestures can change conversations while making sure that visual aids are
clearly visible to maximize their impact on the audience.
HOW ARE YOU TO
PRACTICE?
In order to improve delivery, boost
confidence, and ensure a smooth
presentation, practicing your speech
requires repetitive rehearsal. This helps
you become more comfortable with
your content and strengthens your
ability to communicate effectively.
