Connectives
Connectives are words or phrases that establish relationships between
different parts of a sentence or between sentences. They help convey
the logical and cohesive structure of ideas within a presentation.
Example: The team faced challenges during the project; however,
they successfully overcame these obstacles.
In this example, the connective "however" is used to show a contrast
between facing challenges and overcoming them, adding a logical
link between the two statements.

Passive Voice
The passive voice is used to show interest in the
person or object that experiences an action rather
than the person or object that performs the action. In
other words, the most important thing or person
becomes the subject of the sentence

The passive voice is composed of two
elements : The appropriate form of the verb 'to
be' + past participle.
Forming Passive Voice
Example: "A delicious meal was prepared for the
guests by the chef."

In the passive voice, the subject of the sentence (the


delicious meal) receives the action, and the doer of the
action (the chef) is placed at the end or omitted
altogether. This construction is useful when the
emphasis is on the action or the result rather than the
person or thing performing the action.
