    • Turning effect of a force.

    • Force × Perpendicular distance

    • May be clockwise or anticlockwise.

    • Also called torque.

    An object is in equilibrium if sum of clockwise & anticlockwise moments are the same.

    Centre of mass.

    • Centre of gravity.

    • Result of gravitational force.

    Elastics.

    • When stretched, brought back to original shape.

    • Load.

    Force applied to a spring.
