KEY ACTIVITIES ACHIEVEMENTS

TAS 2021

• Activities pertaining to TAS targets are under progress according to the deadline. The remarks are provided against each target under
the Updates on TAS 2021 in this report.
• Focal officials for all the 2021 TAS targets pertaining to the HRDC targets are identified.

TAS 2021 – ON GOING ACTIVITIES

• Ground work for each targets started by respective focal officials

• Desk study on applied research on relevant field
• Studying the profitability of setting up quality control lap of KHEL by reviewing the quality control lap of other projects

OTHER ACTIVITIES

• Imparted training on “Protection System of DGPC Plants” to Maintenance engineers of THP on 1 st & 2nd February 2021.
• Attended a meeting to discuss on “Obtaining Accreditation of the Laboratory Testing Equipment and Services of HRDC” among HRDC
officials on 4th February 2021.
• Presented the technical papers accepted from CoEACaP in the “International Conference on Science and Technology - ICSciEnTec2020” ,
being organized by CST, Rinchending, Bhutan on 5 th & 6th February in virtual platform.
• Fabrication of roof truss for the work “Extension & Modification of HRDC Block at THP” is in progress.

• Remote Visual Inspection of leakages from the Radial Gates of at MHPA Dam.

• DGA for Unit # 4 (Y phase) transformer after filtration of THP.
• Oil condition assessment for Unit # 4 (Y phase) transformer after filtration of THP.

• Conducted and completed the following tests at KHP from 01.02.2021 to 05.02.2021:
• Tan-δ test on CTs(all phases) of unit 2, GT2, one new CT for replacement in unit 2 (before and after mounting), another new CT and GT of
unit 1
• Ratio, winding resistance, characteristic test of new CTs, GT of unit 1 and CTs (2 phases) of unit 1
• Ratio test and HV winding resistance test of GT2
• Short circuit impedance & magnetic balance tests
• Conducted and completed the following tests at DHPC on 09.02.2021 & 10.02.2021:
• Primary injection test & Insulation diagnostic test on DHPC’s Unit-1 (B-phase) & Spare GSU transformers.

SERVICES PROVIDED IN February 2021

• Circuit breaker diagnostic test of GCB of unit 1.

• Conducted and completed the following tests at CHP switchyard on 15.02.2020:
 Circuit breaker diagnostic tests on newly commissioned 220kV Bus Coupler Circuit Breaker
 Primary injection test & Insulation diagnostic test on GT 9 (R-phase).
• Carried out insulation diagnostic test of Unit IV (R&B phases) & Unit V (all 3 phases) GTs of THP on 17.02.2021 & 18.02.2021
• Conducted Primary Injection test on GT No. 9 (after rectification of tap changer contact and before oil refilling) at CHP on 20.02.2021.
• Primary Injection test on GT unit no. 5 & 6(all 3 phases) and LV winding resistance test of unit no. 4 (B phase) were conducted at THP on
24.02.2021.
• Primary injection test on GT No. 4 (all 3 phases) and Magnetic balance test on GT No. 4, 5 & 6 was carried out at THP on 25.02.2021.
• Conducted battery capacity test (at 50% loading) of battery bank (1020AH) at CHP switchyard on 25.02.2021 & 26.02.2021.
• Insulation diagnostic test and primary injection test on generators unit V & VI was conducted at THP on 26.02.2021.
• Primary injection test, Insulation diagnostic test on generator unit IV and DC resistance test of generator field winding of unit IV, V & VI
were carried out at THP on 27.02.2021.
• Monthly analysis and report generation of Geotechnical Instrumentation & Monitoring of PHPA-II.

• Realignment work of CHP dam spillway gate RG-3 has been completed on 18 th February, 2021. The work was undertaken by HRDC officials
with additional manpower from CHP. Compilation of report is under progress.

• Continue with the execution of the work “Extension and modification of HRDC Block at THP”
• The work “Repair of cracks in Powerhouse and Dam of KHP “ has been awarded to M/s ABR Engineering (JV with Ammiston
Construction Pvt. Ltd) by CMPD and supervision to be carried out by CoECGE.
• Taking up Microseismic monitoring of THP Powerhouse from IMU.
