Medivest Sdn Bhd is a facilities management company which has been awarded a
concession contract since 1996 with Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia to manage non-
clinical hospital support services (HSS) for government hospitals.
Their focus of operation in mainly in three states which is Negeri Sembilan, Melaka
and Johor covering 22 hospitals.
Healthcare facilities management is quite a niche market since not many facilities
management companies have the capability to comply with strict healthcare facilities
guidelines and need maintain MSQH (Medical Society for Quality in Health)
accreditation for each hospital in operation. Since 1996, Medivest has never been
failed to comply with this regulation and successfully maintain the MSQH
accreditation.

1. They have served government hospitals since 1996 and has develop
the industrial knowhow and knowledgebase on hospital support
services.
2. They has been operating for 25 years and have strong present and
brand in their current geographical market.
3. They have strong team with specialized skill set to run the hospital
support service.
4. They have strong support from vendors and subsidiaries which has
work together for 25 years.

CONCLUSION
1. They is a well-known player in healthcare facilities management and has the
knowhow and experience in this niche market.
2. Even though their income is fix from the contract fee, yearly profit is
inconsistence. Therefore, Medivest need to improve their operating cost to
maximize their net income.
3. Medivest need to explore further income avenue by exploring to other related
services such as venture more into private healthcare facilities management,
expand their current incinerator plant, laundry services and sustainability
program (power saving, green energy initiative)
4. Medivest also need to improve presence in mass media or social media by
doing more program such as corporate social responsibility and public
engagement.
