Renal, Respiratory, E.T.C.
• Laboratory safe practices
• 1) No eating and drinking in the lab
• 2) Always wear your PPE
• 3) Practices a good hygiene
• 4) Use a proper storage containers
• 5) Stay focused and be aware of your surrounding
• 6) Label your work
• 7) never work alone in the lab
• 8) Avoid skin and eye exposure to chemical
• 9) Avoid testing anything with your mouth
• 10) Do not engage in rowdy playful or unprofessional activities

Pusleoximeter = this is use to check oxygen
saturation of the blood and pulse rate

• STETHOSCOPE = is use to listen to the sound made by the heart, lungs,


intestines, blood flow in arteries wells and veins.
• CENTRIFUGE : is use to separate fluid and liquid )
• A)Bucket (B) Hematocrit (c) centrifuge
• Sphygmomanometer : is use to measure blood pressure on the arteries wells.
• Types : A) Mercury (B)Automatic (c) Aneroid or manual
Electrocardiography (ECG): is use to record
the electrical activity of the heart by tracing
line on graph paper
Kymograph : is a device which graphically
records motions, pressure, changes.
PH-meter: is use to check the level of ph.
(acid and base)of a solution.
Glucometer: is use to check the level of
glucose or sugar in the blood
Spirometer: is use to measure the volume of
air inspired (inhale ) and expired (exhale)
Spectrophotometer: is use to measure the
electromagnetic energy at a specific wavelength of
light.
Blood bank refrigerator: is use to safe
storage of whole blood.
Microscope: is use to examine micro-
organism
Stadio-meter: is use to measure height and
weight
Photomicroscope: is use to take photo from
microscope or with microscope
Snellen chart: is an eye chart use to measure
visual acuity.
Heamocytometer: is use to count red and
white blood cell
Oven: is use for drying, providing a uniform
temperature
Heamometer : is use to determine
hemoglobin concentration in the blood
