    ABSTRACT:

    The “PLACEMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” is a web based application

    developed in windows platform for the placement department of the college in order to provide

    the details of its students in a database for the companies to their process of recruitment provided

    with a proper login. The system contains all the information about the students. The system stores

    all the personal information of the students and their technical skills that are required in the CV to

    be sent to a company. The system is an online application that can be accessed throughout the

    organization and outside as well with proper login provided.


    2.INTRODUCTION:

    “PLACEMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” is a total management and informative

    system, which provides the up-to date information of all the students in a particular college. “Placement

    management system” helps the colleges to overcome the difficulty in keeping records of hundreds and

    thousands of students and searching for a student eligible for recruitment criteria from the whole thing.

    It helps in effective and timely utilization of the hardware and the software resources. The

    administrator will create the users and the users will use the accounts created by administrator. When

    the user enters into his respective page he can update his details, and the details are to be approved by

    the administrator.

    It keeps track of all a student's information, which can be utilized for reporting, attendance
    monitoring, course progress, completed semesters, and years. Various reports and queries can be
    generated depending on a wide range of variables for students, batches, courses, teachers, exams,
    semesters, certification, and even the entire college as proposed in [1]

    The placement cell coordinates a variety of placement activities for pupils. they had previ-
    ously worked on separate domains but are now fast approaching each other. they provide industry-insti-
    tute contact in this planned work. The system's flaw is that the industry isn't directly linked to the pupils.
    It made use of the institute interaction interface as described in [2]
    4.Purpose of the Project
    The purpose of an online placement management system is to streamline the process
    of connecting job seekers with potential employers. Such a system typically serves
    several key functions:
    Job Posting and Application: It allows employers to post job openings and job
    seekers to apply for those positions online, eliminating the need for paper-based
    applications and streamlining the application process.
    Resume Management: The system often includes features for job seekers to upload
    their resumes and manage their profiles, making it easier for employers to find
    qualified candidates.
    Communication Tools: It facilitates communication between employers and job
    seekers, allowing them to schedule interviews, exchange messages, and provide
    updates on the status of applications.
    5.Proposed System with Features

    User Authentication and Profiles:


    1. User authentication for students, employers, and administrators.
    2. Profiles for each user type with relevant information such as education,
    skills, and preferences.
    Job/Internship Listings:
    1. Employers can post job/internship opportunities.
    2. Detailed job descriptions including responsibilities, requirements, and
    benefits.
    3. Search and filter functionality for students to find suitable placements
    based on criteria like location, industry, or job type.
    Application Management:
    1. Students can apply for positions through the platform.
    2. Employers can review applications, shortlist candidates, and schedule
    interviews.
    3. Notifications for both students and employers on application status
    updates.

    The “Placement Management System” was successfully designed and is


    tested for accuracy and quality. During this project we have accomplished all the
    objectives and this project meets the needs of the organization. The developed will
    be used in searching, retrieving and generating information for the concerned
    requests. In the proposed system, all of the problems become automated. The
    registration of the student for an upcoming placement, the addition of a new user,
    notifying students, sharing information is all met. The admin validates the
    information and gives the student list based on the criteria required which otherwise
    would have been very difficult to manage.
    11.FUTURE ENHANCEMENT

    In future our placement management system will have extra facilities and more

    companies for more students. It will grant more easy access. We are going to include

    recommendation system to this project so it will be helpful for the user to search and

    apply for placements as they wish.
