INTRODUCTION
What is Mechanical functioning of crank shaft in engine ?
The crankshaft converts the force generated by the combustion in the engine into rotary motion. The
linear upwards and downwards motion of the pistons is converted into a torque by the connecting rod
and then transmitted to the fly wheel.
What is Crankshaft L1 Rejection Analysis ?
• Crankshaft: A critical rotating component in internal combustion engines that converts linear piston
motion into rotational motion, essential for power transmission.
• L1 Rejection: Refers to the initial stage of quality inspection where crankshafts are assessed for
adherence to specifications. Those that fail to meet standards are rejected.
• Analysis: The systematic examination of data to understand patterns, causes, and potential solutions
related to L1 rejections.
