BIM Software and Tools
Autodesk Revit Navisworks
Revit is a widely-used BIM software Navisworks facilitates clash
that enables architects and detection and coordination among
engineers to design, visualize, and multiple disciplines in a BIM project,
collaborate on complex building reducing conflicts on-site.
projects.
BIM 360
BIM 360 is a cloud-based platform that enables real-time collaboration and
information sharing among project teams, improving decision-making.
BIM Workflow Process
BIM Workflow Process
1 Design Phase
In this phase, architects create a 3D model of the building, incorporating all necessary
design elements and project requirements.
2 Construction Phase
During construction, BIM is utilized for accurate project sequencing, clash detection,
and coordination among subcontractors.

• 3D modelling | geometrical, graphical information
• 4D time-related info| construction sequencing by means of Gantt charts and
timelines
• 5D cost analysis | cost management, construction cost estimating, etc.
• 6D sustainability| environmental, economic and social sustainability impact
studies
• 7D life cycle and maintenance | Facility Management: planning and management
of maintenance operations throughout the building’s lifecycle.

DISCUSSIONS
• we can actually monitor even the reinforcement details in the structure
• There can be a tremendous increase in quality and great decrease in time and
cost of the projects using four dimensional (4D) and clash detection of building
information models (BIM)
• PRIMAVERA has been used for creation of the schedules and these are linked
with the Revit for 3D modeling, and 4D model created by using Navisworks
Timeliner software.
