Multicultural Literacies
• Globalization refers to the
increasing
interconnectedness and
interdependence of
countries through the
exchange of goods,
services, information, and
ideas.
• Multicultural literacies
involve understanding
and appreciating diverse
cultures, perspectives,
and identities.
What is Globalization?
Stiglitz, It is the close integration of the countries and peoples of the world

flows of goods, services, capital, knowledge, and people across
borders.

Cultural – It refers to the global spread and integration of ideas, values, norms,
behaviors, and ways of life.
Political – It refers to the development of forms of governance that operate at the
global scale whose policies and rules of cooperative nations are expected to abide.
