Creative Nonfiction
a.Autobiography It is a story written by the
person himself
b. Biography It is a life’s story that is
written by another person.

c. Journal It is a day to day account


intended to purely
documents life’s events
d. Diary It is a written account of the
author which involves
his/her secrets

e. Letter It is a communication or
written message that
addresses to a certain person
or organization.
f. Memoir It refers to the personal
account of a person which
teaches them something. It is
more of a memory that cannot
be easily forgotten.
g. Literary Journalism or It refers to magazine or
Reportage newspaper writing or closely
related to it. It is journalism
with a touch of an artistic
value of literature in it.
Literary Journalism
• Before Writing a literary Journalism you need to
consider the following:

a.Select a topic of your interest


b.Conduct a research about your topic
c.Write a dramatic story that will catch the
reader’s attention
d.Include a lead, facts/content, and dramatic
ending.

• Before Writing a literary Journalism: It should Have the
Following Details
1.Scene : must take a place at a particular time.
2.Place : a scene happens in a specific place.
3.Details : a scene always include important details.
These details are the sensory details which help the
reader picture out the event.
4.Action : it includes the information about the event.
5.Dialogue : it includes conversation, however, this may
not always the case but it is also considered one of the
most important aspect of journalism.

• Pretend you are a journalist. Cover an


interesting event in your school (KNHS) and
report it to the class in a narrative manner.

Microblogs
 Art Blog
• An art blog is typically focused on the discussion of
various forms of artistic expression, such as
painting, illustration, sculpture, photography and
other mediums.
• It often includes reviews of artwork and exhibitions,
interviews with artists and curators, as well as
commentary about current trends in the art world.
• An art blogger’s goal might be to sell their
artwork, build an online business, or work with
brands and companies.
 Photoblog
A photoblog is a form of blog in which the focus is on photos
and photo sharing instead of the text of the author.

 Video blog
• A video blog (vlog) is a blog done with the help of videos,
unlike a text blog where information is shared using just text
and static images. Like a text blog, however, video blogs are
visible to all and may be shared, commented on and rated.
• Video blogs are capable of being shared in social media
platforms and can also be integrated into websites. Compared
to a text blog, it may be easier to get more views on a video,
especially for users who prefer watching to reading.
 Photoblog
 Music blog
• A music blog is a website or online platform dedicated to
discussing, reviewing, and promoting music. These blogs
often cover various genres, provide album reviews, feature
interviews with artists, share music news, and highlight new
releases.
• A music blog will be a blog that discusses music. Music is such a broad category,
it can include any or all of the following:
• New releases (albums, singles, instruments, gear) info/reviews
• New bands (by location) info/reviews
• Band schedules
• Musical events info/reviews
• Venues with live music
• Musical instruments shops listing/reviews
• Music platforms (like spotify, last fm etc) listing/reviews
 Podcast

• A podcast is an audio program, just like Talk Radio (or video),


but you subscribe to it on your smartphone, computer, or any
other suitable device, and listen to it whenever you like.
• The hosts of a podcast are referred to as "podcasters.“
 Edublog
• An Edublog is a blog with an educational purpose. Edublog
archive and support student and teacher learning by
facilitating reflection, questioning by self and others,
collaboration and providing context for engaging higher-order-
thinking skills.
• It can be authored by a learner, teacher, researcher or an
administrator. While any blog software can be used for
educational blogs, some hosts have specialized in the
creation of dedicated edublog services (e.g. WordPress’s
edublogs.org).
 Personal Blog
• A personal blog is an online platform where individuals share
their thoughts, experiences, interests, and hobbies.
• It serves as a personal diary or commentary in a digital
format, often written in a conversational and informal tone.

 Corporate Blog
• A corporate blog is a blog operated by a company by one or
more of its employees. Its basic functionality is not that
different from “normal” blogs. Use for marketing tool.
• A corporate blog provides a forum for your company’s leaders
and employees to discuss topics of interest to your target
prospects and customers and the people who influence them.
• A corporate blog consists of many individual blogs, each
written by different employees (“specialists”) within your
company.
 Micro Blog
• A microblog is a short piece of content designed for quick
audience interactions.
• Microblogging is a combination of instant messaging and
content production.
• With a microblog, you share short messages with an online
audience to improve engagement. Social channels like
Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest offer
popular platforms for microblogging.
