1. Go through your projects thoroughly.
2. Make sure that the project will make a significant
difference both to your organization and department
3. Make sure that you are the lead who will drive this
project and achieve success
4. Have a discussion with your boss prior to choosing the
project so that you have his/ her full support.
For your Green Belt Presentations
(Summative Assessment)
• Your presentations must include all the elements of Lean Six Sigma applied to a
project undertaken for a business problem (not meeting customer expectation)
1. Executive Summary- A brief of the problem
2. Project Charter- Must have details of VOC, VOP, VOB
3. Data Collection Template- What data, Who , When etc
4. Cross-Functional Value Stream Map- must reflect total time of your process/
wastes uncovered
5. Fish Bone- what are the reasons for the waste and variation in your process?
6. Pareto Chart- which top two reasons contribute maximum to the problem
7. Weighted Criteria Solution Matrix- choose the best solution based on cost, value
and ease of implementation
8. FMEA- what risks do you foresee and how will you reduce/ mitigate them
9. To-Be Maps- How will your new process meet customer specification consistently
