Numbers
WEEK 7-DAY 1
Review:
Number Puzzle Involving Decimals
Directions: Think of whole numbers
and/or decimals with 1 or 2 decimal
places that will complete the equations
in the box. Find the quotient. Round your
answer to the nearest tenths if

color are the ones you need to answer.
Copy this activity in your math notebook.
In order to solve routine and non-
routine problems involving division
with or without any of the other
operations of decimals and whole
numbers, you need to master the
skills on dividing decimals and whole
numbers, dividing whole numbers
with quotients in decimal form and
most importantly understanding
word problems.
In dividing decimals with whole numbers, the
following steps are to be considered:
Step 1: Divide just like dividing whole numbers.
Continue dividing until the difference is equal to
zero.
Step 2: Now put the decimal point in the answer
directly above where the dividend’s decimal
point is placed.
Step 3: Check. Multiply the quotient and the
divisor. The product must be equal to the
dividend.
Read and comprehend the
problem.

A ratio is the
comparison of two
or more quantities.
The number being compared is followed by
the number to which it is compared to. We
also call this ordered pair of numbers. A
ratio can be written using colon between
two numbers or in fraction form, but a ratio
is not a fraction. A rate is a ratio that
