INTRODUCTION
• Magnetic coupling refers to the interaction between two magnetic circuits or systems.

• It occurs when a magnetic field created by a current in one coil induces a voltage in
another nearby coil, thereby transferring energy between the two systems without
physical contact.

• This principle is widely used in various applications, including transformers, inductors,

wireless power transfer, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

energy without physical contact, thereby enhancing safety, reducing maintenance and needs
compact applications across various industries.

OBJECTIVES
• To improve efficiency
• To reduce the maintenance
• To enhance safety in industrial applications.

PROBLEM DEFINITION
The problem definition of magnetic coupling in short is the challenge of efficiently
transferring torque between two shafts using magnetic fields while overcoming limitations
such as torque capacity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness compared to traditional mechanical
couplings.

SCOPE OF PROJECT
