maintenance services.

What is work permit ?

Work permit is writing document authorizing a person or a group to perform

specific tasks as identified on the work permit and subject to specific condition
and precaution .

 PPE in any thing which you wear at work to help guard against an accident .
 Equipment which gives positive protection to body .
Hot Work

Hot work is any work that involves

open flames or sparks or can generate
sufficient heat or energy to act as
source of ignition.

Hazards :-
 Fire
 Burn
 Electrical Shock
Fire
 Fire is the combination of three elements burning Fuel, Ignition
temperature and Oxygen.
 Fire could not take place absents of any one in triangle.
Types of Fire Extinguishers

Different types of fire extinguishers are designed to fight

different classes of fire.
The 3 most common types of fire extinguishers are:

Water
Carbon Dioxide (CO2)

Dry Chemical (ABC, BC, DC)

Scaffolding

Scaffold:
An elevated temporary work
platform. Scaffold Tags (Scaff Tag)
Green Tag – Ready to use.
Hazard: Red Tag – Don’t use.
Falls from elevation. Yellow Tag -- User must be

What is working at height ?

 Working above the ground level (1.8) mtr.

 Work in any place from which a person could fall a

distance liable to cause personal injury.

 Access and egress

 Work at or below ground level
Height Work Hazard
 Fall of person
 Fall of material
 Slip and trip

Work at height is the biggest single cause of fatal and

serious injury in the industry, particularly on smaller
projects. Over 60% of deaths during work at height
involve falls: from ladders, scaffolds, working
platforms and roof edges; and through fragile roofs or
roof lights
What is confined space ??
Confined spaces have limited openings for entry and
exit.

 Pits & etc.
What is Housekeeping ?

 Good housekeeping means having no unnecessary items about and keeping all
necessary items in their proper places.
 A place for everything and everything in its place.

 Keep work areas clean .

 Keep exits and entrances clear
 Keep floors clean, dry and in good condition.
 Stack and store items safety
 Store all work materials in approved ,clearly
labeled containers in designated storage areas only
 Use proper waste containers
Common hazard present at site
Emergency

 An emergency could be Fire, Explosion, Toxic gas release, oil spillage,

Physical Fatality, Earth quake.etc..
 If you hear any emergency indication or siren in plant area – safely
stop all activities immediately and proceed to nearest Safe assembly
area.(If the emergency could be Gas release check the wind direction
and move to cross wind)
 Enter your name in E-Head count list.
 Physical injuries - report to the area supervisor/site in charge.
 Obey the client Emergency procedure.

General Safety

 Always carry your Iqama either ID card and

Passport copy of signed by by PTA with you .
 Always carry your driving license in case you
are driving and observe traffic rules and
regulation strictly.
 Promptly get in touch with your department
head or HR in case of any emergency
( 340-7455)
 During Ramadan eating ,drinking and smoking
in public are prohibited .
 Smoking allowed only designated place .
 Mobile phone not using during driving
General Safety

 All employees must wear Safety shoes while entering to the PTA- work shop

areas. Nobody is allowed to enter the PTA-work shop areas wearing slippers.
 All employees working in work shop areas must wear Basic PPE at all time.

 If anybody lost I.D’s(Plant, Iqama or any other) please report it to your

Supervisor or Department In charge or HR

 If anybody found any lost I.D’s please submit it HR/ I.D Dept.

 Don’t misuse your or others I.D’s.

 Follow the duty timings, as per site requirements as mentioned in the camp

notice board.
 All employees should report to the main office for receiving the medical

requisition form ( Iqama/ visit visa).employees who are failing to follow such
policy, disciplinary action will be taken.
RULES AND REGULATIONS TO BE FOLLOWED IN CAMP

1. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms, mess hall and corridor. Smoking is
allowed only in designated places.
2. Consuming food inside the room is prohibited. Only use Mess-halls of it.
3. Use of heaters/ water heater are prohibited inside the room.
4. Use water judiciously.
5. Switch off lights/TV/Electronic appliances after 10:00 P.M/AM
6. Defacing/destruction of camp property will not be tolerated.
7. Keep rooms neat and clean. And use dust-bins/ trash-bins for disposal of trash,
don’t throw trash via openings of room/ bathroom.
8. Consumption of Alcohol/Drugs/ or any other banned things in KSA are
strictly prohibited!!!
Smoking:-

Smoking is prohibited in the office, toilet, yard & camp except in

some locations specifically designated as smoking areas.
YOU are responsible for your
own SAFETY.
