Introduction to

Autodesk Revit
An Overview for Architecture Students
What is Autodesk Revit?
•Autodesk Revit is a Building Information Modeling (BIM)
software for architects, engineers, and construction
professionals. It allows users to design buildings and
structures in 3D, annotate with 2D drafting elements, and
access building information from the model's database.
Relevance of Revit in
Architecture
•Revit streamlines the design process with tools for
planning, design, construction, and management. It
supports multi-discipline design, coordination, and
collaboration, making it essential for modern architectural
practices.
Starting a Basic House Design
•To start a basic house design in Revit, begin by creating a
new project.
