How many adults are
there?
Solving problems

An Huy and Minh Khoi have 64 stickers together.

How do you think we can find
They both have the same number of stickers. the answer?

How many stickers do they each have?

We can partition the number then divide
by 2.

+ 64 = 60 + 4
4 divided by 2 = 2
60 divided by 2 = 30

So, 30 + 2 = 32
= 32
Check: 32 + 32 = 64
Solving problems

Minh Khue and Bao Han have 58 dojo points together.

How do you think we can find
They both have the same number of dojo points. the answer?

How many dojo points do they each have?

We can partition the number then divide
by 2.

+ 58 = 50 + 8
8 divided by 2 = 4
50 divided by 2 = 25

So, 25+ 4 = 29
= 29
Check: 29 + 29 = 58
golden stars altogether.
The both have the same
amount of stars. How

Sometimes, the number
cannot be shared equally
and we have some number
left (remainder)
For Example:
If you have 21 balls and you want
to divide it between 2 people.
