WHAT THE FUCK?
I’m gonna call this right now cause we’re either finding out this week or the next but I think Callie killed Lottie. Be it her very unfazed reaction her telling her dad that something is wrong her mom or completely not giving Shauna the note Melissa left with the tape either on accident or to frame Melissa it’s unclear. Also the fact that the dna matched Shauna even though why would Shauna confront and attack Melissa thinking she killed Lottie if Shauna did it. And the fact that Callie and Shauna do share dna and the only sample they had was Shauna’s.
But like, the appreciation I feel from fans who want to make me feel safe and want to make me feel appreciated in a right way, I feel it so much more than the ones that disregard my boundaries but it's a balance that I don't know will ever be balanced. I don't think it exist.
this new line about Van’s mom only makes her relationship with her mom a lot more tragic. The beginning of the season we were told that the reason that Tai and Van broke up after the wilderness is because Taissa was ashamed of being gay and Van coming out to her mother completely destroyed their relationship.
It hits more knowing Van’s mother was an alcoholic and Van had to basically smack her awake just so she had a ride to get on the plane to nationals and she still loved her. Van only got to have that relationship again while she was on her death bed. Meanwhile Taissa was so ashamed she ditched Van only for her to comeback to her 26 years later.
This episode was so interesting since the last time we actually got to see them be teenage girls was in the finale of season two, we’ve become so accustomed to their way of life that we’ve begun to see it as normal. Those hikers showing up and getting to see their rituals from the outside looking in it’s horrific, and then seeing the girls reaction to it. Van’s first line was we’re going home meaning that despite popular opinion a few of the Yellowjackets do still want nothing more to be free. We got to see Van, Natalie, Melissa and Mari in a new light vulnerable teenage girls who have gone through something so traumatic while we also got to see what the same events have done to Lottie and Shauna it’s warped them beyond recognition from the pilot episode it’s sad it’s awful and it’s real.
