Heya, love reading your Finder metas! Have to say I agree a lot of it, there's so much richness in terms of character motivations etc. It's so fascinating to spot these little unspoken details on subsequent readings. (Don't ask me about the can of worms that is Asami's deathbed "I love you" confession, just don't) On a side note as for Asami Papa... Sensei has already started laying the groundwork for the next arc and I have my suspicions we may have already gotten to see him...
Thank you 🫶 I loved your fan art by the way, I am always super happy to get any fan art from finder cause we are small and we dont get a lot 🥰
I would also love to hear your thoughts about Asami’s confession, I feel I have barely talked about it here on this account cause i feel i am still processing that they are officially in love now 🤭
As for papa Asami, are you talking about that man that Fei Long was gambling with? The only reason I dont want it to be that guy, is because I wanted a better more dramtic introduction for him 🤭😤 But like — Simon and most of the villian get pretty cool introductions, were we get to see what there all about in just a few panels, so the fact that she would just slip Papa Asami into a scene where he’s just in the background, and he has a single line. I am just like excuse me 😐 Aren’t you supposed to be the biggest baddie??… it just leaves me a little unimpressed I suppose 😒 I guess I just want him to come in like a james bond villian or something — its what he deserves!
Tqtq! I'm no stranger to niche fandoms but oh boy Finder is still really, really small by all comparisons... I also never thought I'd do finder art either because what is Asami and his inhuman beauty lol
About Asami's deathbed confession, tbh I was so caught up in the action during that scene it didn't occur to me to check the original wording until afterwards, but I made the mistake of looking it up in public...
Your art style is so inspiring!!! Do you mind me asking what brushes you use?
Heck yeah buckle up!
For sketching - Artemus Pencil. Mainly Artemus Hard but I do have several variations with pressure settings for varying line width etc.
For painting/rendering I switch between these two sets:
Yoshida Seiji - Basic round brush and flat brush. Not a brush pack, but the tutorial walks you through how to adjust the settings for it.
Nesskain - Basically another set of round and flat brush... but the strokes come out different I swear lol
For heavier texturing- Redjuice's Brush Set
But that's it. I do experiment with other brushes occasionally but they're usually one offs unlike the above-mentioned four sets.
