Sometimes it is better to stare into nothing and paint everything

Create it for yourself. If others love or want to purchase what you do for you, then you are successful.

The struggle to maintain relevance might steal your time, money, and soul.

How much of what's going on around you is essential?

It's weird how the world and everything changes, then almost everyone and everything fights against it or ignores it to maintain the status quo with the result of multiple failures in doing so.

Finally getting some art done again..

Perhaps we are not truly appreciating time. The time keeps moving faster to escape us; running away from a relationship grown sour with the lack of attention and respect.

Perhaps you should research or avoid what you are about to apply your political views to, it might not be about you or your perspectives.

Unnamed, but finished 2019.. difficult to photograph a painting meant to be viewed from roughly 4 ft. distance.

Thoughts

As I look through histories of events, art history, and the behaviors of humanity; I notice how nothing really changes. The technology changes and allows us to see more of it, but the people don't learn. Few push themselves towards learning, respect, and tolerance. The world is ridiculous, we're still only taking baby steps forward and falling back in development. Hopefully you and possibly your family line can carve out a prosperous niche from it.

Thoughts

As much as I like dark imagery, art of destruction and death in fantasy and the imagination, the real darkness is just the harsh natural realities, the awful people, the terrible acts they commit... and make believe will always pale in comparison to that. What chaos all existence truly is..
