tumblr should add a new feature called the blood furnace. it would be located on tumblr.com/bloodfurnace and it would be sort of like an online easy bake oven type game thing but instead of baking it would function sort of like an alchemical minigame thing that the entirety of tumblr participates in somehow to get working. Like there might be a place where bright red flame comes out of that's fueled in real-time by how much people like posts on tumblr, and then a smaller dark red flame that's fueled by accounts getting banned or deactivated. what would you be able to accomplish with it? not sure I just like the idea. give us the blood furnace, staff.

Every time I hear someone say something like this I remember that one exerpt from that one book in which the author considers Gomez Addams as a trans man specifically because he has the energy of a guy who wakes up every day absolutely over the moon to discover that he gets to be a man with a family and a moustache and a wife who's taller than god yet again, and it becomes painfully apparent that people who say these things don't understand transness at all.

OK here’s the context:
This person writes fanfic about real life musicians from the 60s, including mpreg. They’re also openly homophobic. Someone made a post joking about Davy Jones from the band The Monkees being gay and OP went off on them about how disrespectful it is to headcanon real life people who are still alive as being gay. OP’s inbox got flooded by people pointing out that they themselves write fic about actual real life people who are still alive being mpreg’d but they insist it’s totally different you guys I swear and had a meltdown.
Also, the fic isn’t actually about Paul McCartney, it’s about Paul Simon from Simon & Garfunkel being impregnated by Lily Tomlin.
It's not just to have a "do over" that doesn't involve the original cast, it's to cut them out of the royalties. Literally the entire point is to make sure all the money made by Harry Potter goes to transphobes or people willing to work with transphobes.
If you watch it, you are supporting bigotry, hate, and oppression. That's just objective reality. All for a story that you probably have already seen in movie and book form.
#the last point is especially true since the old cast receives royalties for anything with their likeness on it#meaning the original trio still gets money for every mug with their 14 year old faces on it#if they stop making those and replace them with the new cast which they will the old cast gets cut off completely#which is again exactly what rowling wants because she cannot stand those 'ungrateful brats' as she would likely put it#and as she has last say in anything that gets made in harry potter paraphernalia this might also explain the decrease in faces on products
