Andrea is my name, being a disciple of Jesus is my game...was that lame? Sorry not sorry😘

Even Jesus escaped from the noise.

A lot of us do not understand the importance of silence. We don’t like to sit in it because it is too quiet. We don’t like to be still because we've been conditioned into believing that we need to be constantly working, constantly entertained, and constantly busy; that to be still is to be lazy. But by keeping ourselves busy and distracted we neglect inner work that needs to be done within us and even more important we neglect intimacy with God. We miss out on much needed rest that we didn’t realize we needed and we also miss out on opportunities to grow in our relationship with God. OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS TOP PRIORITY. It is in the silence where we learn many things about who we are in Christ and also who Christ is. It is in the quiet place where God speaks the loudest. It is in sitting still, where we see God moving. Silence is important and necessary for the Christian to grow in relationship with the Father. Some of us don’t even realize that being constantly busy drowns out the voice of God! How can you hear God speak when you are always surrounded by noise? How can you spend quality time with the Father when you keep yourself constantly busy? Give God His time, give Him your undivided attention. Get away from it all! No noise, no distractions, just you and God. <3

Every good and perfect gift comes from above

We must remember that all good things come from above! Everything we have, our family and friends, our health, our job and finances, our clothes and food, ALL are gifts from God. We should not feel entitled to all these blessings nor should we be expecting them every day we wake up. We should hold them loose and be thankful every chance we get for the things we have. If God desires to take something away, it is His right to do so because ALL things belong to Him. And just because He takes something away, does not make Him any less worthy of our praise and gratitude. We came into this world with nothing, and we will leave it the same way. Be thankful everyday for what Gods has blessed you with.

“Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will leave this life. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” -Job 1:21
