“Inquisitor? Hmm….I didn't see her.” Afterward, the entire skyhold is disrupted by The Case of the Disappeared Inquisitor.

whats up with that insane bone pit act 2 quest where they just non optionally bring some guy to beat up and interrogate in YOUR HOUSE like that’s normal

sorry but it’s SO so funny that a romanced anders and merrill do their whole ‘i know no-one could forgive me my love but thank you for being the only bright light in kirkwall’ or ‘you’re the best person ever ma vhenan how could anyone help but love you. nobody else but you would stand by someone like me’ spiels to what is essentially their crime boss s/o who beats up and interrogates people in their shared house. anders is finishing up a few notes on his social justice manifesto and saying ‘goodbye love i’ll be home soon i just have to go to the sewers and risk my life to heal refugees for free like i do every day’ and merrill is finishing chattering with their servant helping her adjust to live as a freed slave and saying ‘goodbye ma vhenan i’ll be home soon i just have to go to the poorest part of the city to make whatever personal sacrifice it takes to do my part for my people and culture’. and hawke, straight up a killer for hire, there is no way to complete this game without just killing people for money like it’s nothing, pauses tying someone to a chair in the next room to tell them to remember to pack lunch. in canon this happens. you dont even have to make weird choices at all.

to this day it drives me absolutely insane that theres still people that like. take the writing behind anders completely at face value and act there wasnt a huge element of what i cannot stress enough to be the most ghoulishly egregious amounts of authorial malice against not the character himself. but literally every single person like him. i cannot believe we have a character whose writer is so openly and contemptuously hostile to queer people that she scrubbed a HUGE chunk of his backstory from his romance depending on player gender because she personally believes bisexual men are unattractive. i cnanot believe how many people dont critically engage with the zionist writer's assertion that the act of liberating oneself from genocide is inherently an act of unmitigated evil that destroys innocent lives in the name of a selfish egoism. i cannot believe we just let this person gleefully use the word "bipolar" as a shorthand for "dangerous and abusive" and no one thought to question if this perhaps had any sort of influence on his characterization. i cant beleieve we let a proud terf do this. i cant believe .

Would LOVE to hear your elaborate headcanon about Harding surviving because I love that idea! 👀

Sorry for taking so long to answer this! I'm also going to tag @ninfadeloslagos because she also asked about it

The tl;dr version is that she uses her powers to suspend herself in stone to prevent herself from succumbing to her injuries.

We see her do this on instinct after she fell off the cliff when she first discovers her powers, and we know that lyrium!Harding can do it too because we find dwarves encased in lyrium at the end of Harding's questline. These dwarves are suspended in time- they have no memory from the time they were encased to the time they were freed by Harding. Sure, you could interpret this as just being unconscious but that's not fun. I choose to think of it as a bug in amber, unable to bleed or decay.

The combination of Harding being able to encase herself AND the idea that doing so suspends her in time means that she should be able to prevent her injuries from killing her until she can safely be extracted and treated by a healer. Both the First Warden and Strife get stabbed through the middle and survive so I think she'll be fine actually

Hi hello I share this headcanon and I have proof.

The fade prison is the first instance of Rook thinking the companions are dead, right? But every mage knows that what we see in the fade might not be literally true. It's Rook's regrets that leave them trapped there. Bellara or Neve saying "You picked me to die" isn't true, because NEITHER OF THEM ARE DEAD.

So I sacrificed Davrin in my first run because I have never played the Mass Effect series and I didn't know T_T. I got to that scene before the final battle where Rook can go to Davrin's room to Remember Him, and it was all about his sacrifice and how he will never be forgotten, thanking him for what he did for the team.

Ok, fair enough I expected as much when a companion is presumed dead, but that's not what happened when I sacrificed Harding.

Being an evil doppelganger has to be so fucked up like imagine meeting a better version of yourself. Some chain of events going differently that led to "you" being a better person in a way you can never achieve. Personally I'd have no other option but to try and kill them

It's always "oh no my evil clone or twin or whatever is trying to kill me" and never How is my evil clone? Says a lot about society

Me, crashing the fuck out: you think you're better than me? You think you're fucking better than me???

My good clone, dodging a glass: I mean like objectively yeah

no reason for lucanis to have crow armour on in the ossuary + definitely no reason for lucanis’ crow armour to have demon eye theming prior to spite = my watsonian answer is that spite fully manifested that armour into the world like he does with the fade islands

it’s exactly how lucanis remembers his armours but with bonus emotional support knives to make him feel better (he thinks there were always that many knives) and then spite was like Hmmmmm. More! Eyes! for reasons best known to itself. maybe it thinks pride demons are fashionable. maybe it used to look like that. maybe its not rlly clear on eyes and thinks this will help them see better. could be anything
