this past weekend i attended a work conference and my boss and i took 11 of our students with us and let me tell ya. the energy it takes to corral big groups of people… lmao. thankfully it’s over and i just have to make it through the last two months of this semester!!!!

i hope YOUR life is lovely and that your pillow is also always cold—on both sides!!

i meaaaaaaaaan the end of ch. 11 is just the beginning of the conflict era unforch (…or fortunately? 🤔) so there’s still a lot to play out between bakugou and reader

also, your mileage for spoilers may vary, so if you wanna go into ch. 12 completely blind, stop reading here!!

but my primary reason for why bakugou doesn’t grovel—or even apologize—in ch. 11 is because he doesn’t think he’s done anything wrong. he’s just doing his job, which is a main priority for him. and the bakugou in my mind’s eye moves through life on his own terms. pro hero bakugou in his mid- to late-20s is used to primarily being accountable only to himself in his personal life. it’d be different if bakugou valued relationships in the same way as midoriya, for example, or kirishima. not to say he doesn’t value people! he just shows it in his own ways, very different ways

so! what happens when you’re faced with a situation where you’re asked to re-evaluate your priorities, or how you show up for them? it’s tough! we’ll have to see if bakugou figures it out… or makes things worse… 👀

my boss went on sudden personal leave, and so on top of the class i teach and my primary job (teaching is—was? 💀—just a side thing this semester), i’m teaching my boss’s class too 😭 brain energy has been nowhere to be found recently…

“How’s it feel to have not one, but two little brothers who’re taller than you?” you tease. “You wanna die?” Touya says casually, grabbing your hand and refusing to let go when you tug.
Midoriya buries his face in your stomach, pressing in. It’s not enough. He needs to be closer. He lifts your layers, a shirt and a sweater, so his face is directly pressed against you. Your warmth, your softness, your give. He mouths at your skin, wanting to consume you.
“You didn’t tell me one of your friends would be Dynamight! He's literally the hottest hero in Musutafu!” you hiss. Mina laughs. “Don’t worry, you’ll change your mind once you actually talk to him.” You stare at her incredulously. Shaking your head, you mutter, “How the hell is he hotter in person? I hope he doesn’t talk to me.”
“Your wish is my command,” Sero says, and when you open your mouth to make another request, he sticks his face in your neck and blows, making a farting sound that has you bursting into laughter.
“Kiri…?” “I–I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I can’t accept your feelings.” His expression is pained. “I know I’ve… I’m trying to focus on the agency. And there’s just not enough time for anything more than friendships…” You feel sick. You’ve read things wrong and you’ve fucked everything up. Mechanically, you open your mouth and words fall out. “Oh. No, don’t apologize. I get it.”
“Don’t regret this,” you say raggedly. “I won’t be able to control myself if you change your mind.” Bakugou pinches your cheek. Cups it with his hand, soothes the slightly irritated skin. “Never,” he tells you.

the way this ask was an unnecessary rollercoaster for me because of how i read it lmaoooo

i was like GASP. when you said you’d hit him if you were reader. and then i was like ohhhh you’d hit him with that sentence. and then i read the sentence you’d hit him with and gasped again hahaha

he really was so mean this past chapter 🥺 and for what!!!!!
